New Crysis2 Trailer

Don't bash me but I liked Crysis. It was a little short and the whole alien ship thing was a stretch but over all lot's of fun. This trailer for Crysis2 looks hot. I'm diggin the animations, destructible environments, and particle effects.

There's something odd in that video, apart from being grey and having flat textures.
The way people moves, specially the player... I don't know but it looks strange.

Doesn't give me good vibes.

I hope I'm wrong cause I really miss the first part.

Looks like they're going for FEAR type visuals and gore effects in this one, complete with slow mo. Not sure it fits the Crysis series so well. Also noticed the movement seemed odd as mentioned, but the video appeared laggy, so maybe it's needing more optimizing to smooth it out. I sure hope it doesn't play that laggy. My summation is I like the content, just not so sure about the way it's presented. Even the music is very arcade and shallow.

Well you can tell it was the 360 version. Reaction and aiming was pretty bad. All I can say we shall see how this one turns out.

I love the sound of ejected brass falling on the ground in the beginning. As for the music, it's recorded over the video. There was hardly any music in Crysis. Mostly only as atmosphere sound in certain parts of the map. But not during actual gameplay. This is not Unreal Tournament where music is hammering your ears while you're doing the casual carnage dance...

I'm anxious to see what the PC version looks like -- so far all the clips I've seen have been Console footage, which is of course, utter garbage. I want to see it in at least 1920x1200 with 16x AF to see what it looks like.

Definitely -- if they utilize the environment properly, they could really make this one neat with added physics, building destruction, etc. Hoping this one is DX11 -- and very anxious to see what the official "recommended requirements" are.

dx11 is not as important as one might think. it's mostly marketing. ill take good dx9 code over a crappy dx10/11 port any day. the game might use directcompute 5.0 for some shaders but that's about it. the engine and game were designed before dx11 spec was released which was late 2008.

console version does not have deferred lighting or global illumination like pc so you dont get to see how good the graphics are. also pc has better facial animation among other things.
