So, has this bios something new like qpi pll, ask your friends from Asus (to bingo13 too) to put this setting. It's a must for flagship board. If Asus make BIOS as 0011 and put this setting it would be perhaps the best BIOS so far. Many people say (including me) that bios 0011 is one of the most stable and requires smaller voltages compared to other.

Bios 1301 does not contain QPI PLL changes.

IF there is a Bios 1302, does that contain QPI PLL setting?

Guys, it's doubtful they can exert control over it. It's probably $#!+ design, so they can't add it... Or they would have a long time ago... Which is why I asked for the table of values. Keeping your hopes up is naive. ASUS has lost it's touch. It seems they have no concept of how to make enthusiast parts. Their support is a huge Fu*king failure too.

    Question

Is Asus NDA signed with blood and if someone broke it, some ninjas would truncate his mouse hand?

If it is true that they released 1301 for R3E to testers, why communities like XS still have only 1102?

Before I raised the voltage, my board dropped my Blu-Ray off the jmicron controller all the time. I had to power off the machine the next time it tried to post to get it to load the defaults due to a 'bad overlook', save my previous settings in the BIOS and exit.

After upping the IOH my chip passed 30 iterations of Linpack using 4096MB of RAM while the Intel ICY10R RAID was doing a verify on my mirror (proves the IOH voltage helped since its dealing with extra bandwidth of the southbridge during the rebuild) and my Blu-ray hasn't dropped since.
Looks like the issue was more with the G. Skill SSD. I've since semi-forgiven ASUS. I returned (well it's going back tomorrow) the G. Skill one, and got the crucial 128GB SATA3 one and it's been pretty stable. However this doesn't put ASUS totally off the hook as the chipset in the disk is the same as on the board (both are Marvell) which was one of the reasons I picked it. While I realize SATA3 is still 'new' cross vendor compatibility should be something ironed out in QA, not in the field. Performance is about the same from day to day use, and I have been able to OC up to about 4.0GHz but not 24x7 stable on air, this is also on the factory HSF from intel so I think this board has potential, I just need to get it under water to really be able to push it. My idle temps are like 50-52*C which seems aweful high. Until I can really OC it I'm leaving it close to stock at 3070MHz@1.22v and the ram @934MHz (aka 1866) at 1.6v. I don't expect to get all that good of a stable overclock on the stock intel cooler so it's kind of pointless to try IMO.

That's some awkward version numbers.. So if I get this straight:

0095 is newer than 0096, which is newer than 1203 which again is newer than 0011? And all being BETA BIOS releases so 0095 and 0096 aren't newer because their stable releases?

Going from 1005, 1102 and 1203 to 0095/0096 seems wired, but hey their just numbers right!

    *** IROG firmware Corrupt ****
    Bios 1 x951
    Bios 2 04xx

Symptom - Stuck at multi 16
    Cause - Nada
Fix - Change to Bios 2 which should be ure Default bios mine i think is 04xx
and it will update the Firmware. There will be two boots of update
then enter bios like normal boot. Then switch back to Bios 1 and IROG firmware will be updated again like previous.
Then enter ure profiles etc all should be no prob

    Solution that failed
Updating ure Bios 1 will not fix this or reflashing ure bios 1 to 901, 950,951

Sort this out ppl on how to reflash the firmware on a easier level.

Yeah, it would be good to see new BIOS that supports higher memory timings, so we could try 2400-2500MHz speeds.

Update - B3 Stepping Emergency on Cougar Point is winding down so we will get back to other Intel boards on BIOS udpates now. First up will be updates for the Intel and Marvell Controller Firmware.
Why do people claim to know something they do not and then write about it.
