    Gigabyte 890FXA-UD7 is strong - Thuban @ ~6.6GHz

    Hy guys,

From what I saw on the forums many people are complaining about GB board about not getting high frequency. So, after I tested the CPU on Crosshair 4 Formula I decided to try it on Gigabyte's 890FXA-UD7 also...

... and I got almost the same frequencies on CPU. The only problem was that I was limited to 1.9v on the CPU and believe it or not, I needed more than that because the damn thing scales . One other problem was the NB frequency which I couldn't get over 4000MHz, considering that on the ASUS board I got 4300-4400MHz quite easily. I hope that the F3 BIOS will resolve this problems !

Also 3D Mark Vantage, WPrime 32M fully stable at over 6000MHz but I got no screens for that because my LN2 finished very fast @ 1.9v

    Thanks for reading this,

I can't wait until some 6.2-6.4ghz 3d Thubans hit the shelfs. I wanna see what damage they can do. Very nice runs by the way. Hopefully new BIOS fixes your NB issue.

Sweet! How does it look for 06? You got the CPU test results?
