And another one bites the dust....

I never owned a DFI, I guess I'm part of the problem. Then again, I owned at least 2 Soyo motherboards and they've been out of the mobo business for IDK how many years. They actually filled Ch. 7 Bankruptcy in 2009....

I guess I'll be sticking to ASUS/Gigabyte/Biostar/MSI wait.... I guess I do support a few brands, lol.

This is sad news though. Competition is always good. I hope sapphire can step up and release some stuff in the US.

In my eyes, this is horrible for all the SSF fans as their mATX brand stuff came out first and other companies followed, it seems. I guess EVGA may have to take the reigns for now as their SSF stuff is looking good these days.
    You must [not] advance.

    Damn, sucks.

I've just taken my nF4 Ultra-D down off the shelf to have a small cry and reminisce. I killed it about five years ago in my first experiment with sub-zero, but I haven't been able to bring myself to chuck it out

Glad their gone. My NF2 Lanparty and NF4 lanparty boards were all horrible. I tried endless hardware configurations and they were just unstable crap. On any other board I used weather is be asus, gigabyte or foxconn, solid as a rock. Good riddance far as I'm concerned.

Hello SAE, good to see you post with some nice words backing up the great time we had with DFI mobos

To the few posters leaving negative comments.

    A small question,

If there was a funeral of a person you didnt like, would you turn up at the funeral and start slagging off that person?

OK, a bit extreme, you might say comparing a person to a product, but for many of us we had great success and great times with DFI products.

Your posts arnt welcome in my eyes, the OP who started this thread obviously felt an affiliation to the DFI Lanparty brand, why dont you peeps try to show the OP some respect and all those other posters leaving positive comments.

If you feel the need to slag off DFI Lanparty brand then go and make a new thread somewhere else.

Your comments, at least for me, are NOT welcome

I had few issues with DFi mobos, but I had more than few issues with ASUS and other ones too.. When I figured problems out and solved them, DFi was able to give me results that no other manufacturer could. Even on stupid air cooling.

My BloodRage is kinda same in this, few issues, but when solved, its amazing mobo.

    I will definetly miss them.

    RIP LanParty Series

I met these boards in the 939 age and was blown away by boards which completely exceeded the competition in every aspects - although others are correct that quality and innovation in this line had tapered off over the last few years I am still very sad to see them go. DFI BIOS > * in my book, nothing else feels right after you use one.

DFI boards were fine if you kept them stock, and thats it. You didn't buy a DFI board with the intention of keeping components stock. Back in the day of NF5 (when I ditched DFI forever) I bought a Asus Crosshair and that board absolutely destroyed any DFI I ever owned in the stability, and compatibility sweepstakes and overclocking was on par if not better than the DFIs (A64 @ 3GHz on the stock cooler). At the time I was more than well placed to judge these things, I tested R&D products for Mushkin and provided product support.

I had owned one DFI board, it's a funny story as to how I got it.The guy I got it from gave it to me for free , because get this,he told me he couldn't get it to work, when I brought her home she fired right up and overclocked real well too , gave me zero problems.I have not owned older DFI motherboards , but even more recent ones have been unique compared to other manufactures, I think what did it for DFI was a lot of bad words from people like the guy I got my board from , who had no clue.

It probably didn't help , that both giga and ASUS spammed every socket with 20 boards, when DFI had 3 or so for entire socket.

I think the people slagging off DFI just didn't have the patience to get it running stable. I've benched an FX-55 at 3.7GHz for several hours without a single restart or crash (I was trying to get my PP to equal what I could do on air), and I've had my NF4 SLI-D running at 3.4GHz 24/7 stable. However, don't even think about leaving any setting on AUTO, it's manual or BSOD land. Give a DFI board lots of love and attention and it'll return the favour

Come to think of it, my 3700+ at 3.05GHz has been running since last year without a restart.

yah, but this is the internet so u cannot see the reactions and tone of people, it also sucks when your brand of choice dies, IE what if coke stopped and only left pepsi sure its still cola but its not as good. this is the same sure we cannot get a new dfi and that leaves asus, GB, msi, biostar and asrock (they make good boards now) but i doubt that we will see a dfi grade bios any time soon or the quality that dfi had (excluding the x58 UT.) i still think that the lt/ut x38/48 was the best x38/48 and they had the p35 that was the clear best of that, the amd boards seamed rather solid as well and i wish that i had gotten one over the gd70
