Use the vid pin mod for higher VCore, VIO modding shouldn't really be needed.

Well it looks like you have a Northwood, and if that is the case, vid pinning should be more than enough. Vid pinning to 1.85v would mean about 2.2v selectable through the BIOS. Not like you should ever use more than 1.9 or so though unless you're someone like macci or OPP who go through processors like they were chump change.

No matter how good the cooling, if you pump excessive VCore into a .13 micron processor you're going to kill it.

Ohh if i make the vidpin mod i can raise the voltage to 2.2V? Just like on the abit th7 2! That's fine!
And I'm someone like macci or Opp! I had 2.56 on my northwood for a test! And it's still alive but i will not give my northwood so many voltage again!

    Thanks for your tipp!

V-mod on the IT7 is the 6301 IC chip pin 7, 50k VR and work your way down.
It doesn't need I/O, my IT can run my mem at 239 mhz and my vid card at 98mhz, the thing only needs the V-Mod.
    The board Rocks

Use a 50K veriable resister, start it at 50k then work your way down to increase your voltage.

I know bought the board and it's unbelievabel! The raid controller is very fast , and the bios got many options!

The only thing, i was wondering about, the board only allows a vdimm voltage of 2.8V and not like leo set, after i had made the vid pin mod, i could only raise the vcore to 1.85V!

Is there a overclocking bios? Or something like this?

Wait a second, you're talking about the IT7 like you said in your subject right? Because if you vid pinned it, you shouldn't have to raise to 1.85v as your default will be 1.85v (unless you shorted different vid pins for a different default VCore). Plus the IT7's default (yes that means stock, no mods necessary ) VDIMM is 3.2v, not 2.8v.

I made the pin mod, and the default is now 1.85V but i cannot push it higher, and ic an push the vdimm voltage only to 2.8! What bios version are you using?

Well, from my limited experience with it, I liked it .

Didn't get to mount my MX-EVA3 because the mounting bracket broke. FUGGER was nice enough to ship me a replacement so I should be back on track next week.

8H, which I currently believe is the only BIOS. That really is strange. The main reason I went for the IT7 was the 3.2v VDIMM.

Edit: NM, saw they now have 8Y. http://fae.abit.com.tw/eng/download/bios/it7.htm go there and see if using another BIOS helps out.

Hm well why that's so I'm not sure but if that is the case, you can just do a quick VMod like OPP suggested. HIP6301 IC just like on the KG7, KR7A, and KX7 so if you've vmodded any of those boards, you'll probably just have an easier time doing the "normal" vmod.
