[Computex 2010] EVGA Classified SR-2 Case

EVGA showed today the new Classified SR-2 case at Computex, thus offering the SR-2 lineup as a complete solution that includes motherboard, PSU and case. It is of course built to be able to accomodate the huge EVGA Classified SR-2 motherboard, has the EVGA ECP Control Panel integrated in the frontpanel and offers plenty of cooling possibilities.

They have also showed the refreshed X58 Classified and X58 FTW with USB 3.0 and S-ATA 6Gb, as well as their custom cooled GTX 470 and watercooled GTX 480.

That blue plastic makes it look so cheap. If the interior was black and all the plastic black then it wouldn't look all that bad.

Dude, it looks like a mirror image of an ATCS 840 with a modified tray and it looks like EVGA removed the coolermaster tool-less stuff.

Red interior and black drive holders and integrated water cooling and it would have been sweet. Right now it looks like crap.

Ugly, boring and no doubt like the rest of the Classified line, hideously expensive.

Not bad. Would like to see black interior and different (read: less flimsy) tooless drive bays in the retail version.

    Other than that, looks fun.

They should have bought Metric's design for the SR-2. This case looks cheap and does not exactly live up to the boards standards of awesomeness.

At least it looks better than Thermaltake cases (not saying much there) EVGA has such sleak and cool looking motherboard color schemes. They can definitely do better.

This is great move, but they should listen to people to improve it. My suggestions is, it should be:

All aluminum to get this huge thingy to become lighter
    Place for 2 PSU
Only Black and Red color, both inside and outside, to match the MB

    ASUS P8P67 Deluxe (BIOS 1305)
    2600K @4.5GHz 1.27v , 1 hour Prime
    Silver Arrow , push/pull
    2x2GB Crucial 1066MHz CL7 ECC @1600MHz CL9 1.51v
    GTX560 GB OC @910/2400 0.987v
    Crucial C300 v006 64GB OS-disk + F3 1TB + 400MB RAMDisk
CM Storm Scout + Corsair HX 1000W
    +
    EVGA SR-2 , A50
    2 x Xeon X5650 @3.86GHz(203x19) 1.20v
    Megahalem + Silver Arrow , push/pull
    3x2GB Corsair XMS3 1600 CL7 + 3x4GB G.SKILL Trident 1600 CL7 = 18GB @1624 7-8-7-20 1.65v
    XFX GTX 295 @650/1200/1402
    Crucial C300 v006 64GB OS-disk + F3 1TB + 2GB RAMDisk
    SilverStone Fortress FT01 + Corsair AX 1200W

looks very very basic and cheap...
why black and blue and not red?
why isnt it all painted black or red and has a lot of raw alu/metal?

no mounting holes for a radiator?
can the drive bays be removed for really long vgas or is the case long enough?

ill probably answer those questions myself as im about to head over to the gskill booth to see evga benching

I am pretty sure it's all aluminum already, you can tell it is anodized black aluminum by just looking at the pattern already. I don't think it looks that bad, it rather just a low res photo.

I am almost certain the upper portion has a space for a radiator because it looks like the MB is too much room at the top of the case for their not to be room for one. This case reminds me alot like the ATCS 840.
