    Recommendation

I am thinking abount making the move to liquid cooling. I am asking what people recommend for a first time liquid cool setup? I have been looking over kits at different site but really not sure what be best. At this time I am only looking to cool the cpu and maybe chipset using the below components. I may not do chipset as I am just learning what to do with this type cooling system. Thanks for any helpful information.

    i7 980X
    Rampage III Extreme
    Antec 1200 case

    Thanks

Looks like you already splurged for a nice set up. Do yourself a favor and get a nice water setup the first time around. Those kits are generally of much lesser quality imo.

Do you have a budget you're trying to stay within?

I think the Antec 1200 is past its prime... maybe an ATCS 840, a HAF 932, HAF X, CM Cosmos or something else would do you better...

Links so you can educate yourself on heatloads, flowrates, helpful guides lotsa stuff. I recommend you bookmark all of the individual links, you will need them.

Read MANY posts, 20-30 in these forums and others from beginning to end dealing with watercooling. Read all the guides and take notes when you need to.

Be familiar with waht is offered from many different creators of products.

It will save you tons of time and less frustration by understanding the lingo and having some links to fall back on when you need to learn.

It's really all up to you. You spend $500 and all this stuff arrives at your door step, hopefully it's what you need. And you know how to hook it all up. Ruining a $300+ GPU really sucks, it happens. You can prevent this easily..........
