    First LN2 GTX480 benching

    First LN2 GTX480 benching

    Hi friends...
I modded mine GTX 480 to try to get good scores...
    get ready to 3DM03, 05 and 06

First i modded using eletrolitic caps (there are no solid capacitors in Brazil).
    I did have a problem (caps works -40ºC / + 105ºC)...the VGA lose performance...

But i got 14 caps (Gigabyte Brazil gave me), and i changed

I got good results in a few hours benching (LN2 is very expensive in Brazil, and is no easy to buy)

I am sure i can improve my results, but i think this CPU is in the limit
I really liked GTX 480 performance to this benchs...

    Will keep trying

    ... sorry the broken english

p.s. thanks to Napalm for share infos

Why do LN2 and DICE runs require soldering to the PCBs?

rbuass did a cap mod (adding capacitors for sorting out voltage ripple & spikes) and a volt mod for adjusting vGPU

Those are rather simple jobs - given you're somewhat familiar with basic electronics

    Nice results rbuass

What volts where you pumping ? We did 1000mhz/2000mhz ram pretty easy without any mod, just MSI Afterburner VGPU at 1.2
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
