Silverstone TJ07 - White Wolf Project

Hey guys! THis is my first post on this site and there's no better way to start than with a project of my own!

The project will consist of a Silverstone TJ07 with an inverted ATX tray, custom side window and custom front panel. Aditionally there will be a controller completing the front panel. This is step one!

Step two will be to watercool the Mobo, cpu and gpu and for that I'll be using supplies from EK, Bitspower and Termochill!

Last but not least: Cable management and sleeving! This will be the last part of the project and will require a lot of patience and dedication! Will be sleeving all the cables inside the case individually and arrange them to the best of my abilities!

Right now I have the case and the frontal panel will arrive monday! Once we get all the pieces together we can start cutting away to improve cable routing in the case!

This is the list of hardware i'll be using in this project:

    Asus Rampage II Extreme
    Intel Core i7 920 D0
    G.Skill Trident PC3-16000 3x2GB
    Asus GTX480 1536MB GDDR5
    Creative X-fi Titanium PCI-E
    Intel X25M- G2 80GB SSD x2
    Corsair HX-850W
    NZXT Sentry LX

Anyway enough with the specs and bla bla bla lol and on with the pictures!

    More updates soon!

Somehow font used for "white wolf" reminds me of old "wanted" posters - any hints on what font it is?
    P.S.
Wolf head looks a bit too "modern" together with that retro font for text. Probably repeated straight lines in forehead/ears. Something more irregular might fit better. Anyway, congrats, wonderful overall look.

Hye mate and thx for commenting! The Front panel is not yet finished, it will be sanblasted and all those lines will become flat and disappear (= It had just gotten of the CNC machine and it's waiting to go into the sandblasting chamber!

Too bad you're removing those lines. I totally dig the sci-fi look.

I really can't wait to see more of this so crack the whip on those fancy machines!

Hey guys! Thx for the comments so far

    Here's a small update:

The front panel after the sandblasting. Perfect result!

Test fitting the front panel to make sure everything fits as expected:

Later on tonight I'll be putting the PSU in the Case to make some markings for cuttouts for cable management!

    More updates sooon!

Hey guys! I'm back with another update on the case:

Reversing the tray seems quite straightforward but...we thought it through and i'm glad we did! We moved the upper rail to the bottom and used an acrylic plate to give it the necessary height! The acrylic will be painted black and ised to hide the holes in the midplate later!

Onward to the important stuff. We had to cut and bend a piece of Alu in an L shape so it could be secured to the other rail and mounted to the case using the original screw holes! This allowed us to invert the tray and still retain all the stock parts of the case as well as the materials, not sacrificing any of the case's sturdiness!
Some dremel work and some sanding later and here's the result. Can you tell which is the original?

We then mounted the two rails and proceeded to test fit all the parts together. Everythings fits nice and tight as it's suposed to be! Success

One of the things we need to realize is that once you invert the tray you lose the possibility to use the 2x120 top fan mounts. So out comes the dremel again and it's cutting time! We eliminated the fan holders from the top mesh to make it fit and give it a sleek look. Some sanding here and there...

That's it for now! Thank you for your comments and will update as progress dictates!

I think you will find when actually wiring up the rig and running the tubing that it may be easier to move the pump to within the 5.25" drive bays to get some additional room down there.

    Loonym...You are missed.

    The element of one

    Breathe me in
    Breathe me in

I disbelieve in separation. I close my eyes to see you.
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
I, I disbelieve separation. I close my eyes
    there's no escaping me
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
In your heart in your soul. I perceive rejuvenation

Breathe me in. I am forever. Deep within I am eternal.

I will return to you. I am with you always. I will never turn away from you.
