( The extreme iv - got it too... )
There's a new one for the ch4 formula as well, but no notes about it yet.
There are notes on the 1902 now and it's available for dl too.
You can get the 3017 at the ftp:Crosshair IV Formula 1902 BIOS

Orochi..., that's my kitties name.
Mean little guy...
3017 is an Orochi bios, 3012 was removed and the size difference makes sense...also 3017 is avail. for all the boards (CHIVF/E, GTD/TD)
Smile
Just curious, has anyone tried 3017 on the C4F with Thuban?

It's OrochiPI 0.0.7.4-1, playing with it at the moment seems quite good and it's stable, they've removed the CPB mode so it can't be disabled.

What would you say the most stable bios for the CF IV is with a 6 core CPU. I am at 1102 now? From time to time it will not see the SSD at boot.

Is it possible to flash to the beta BIOS with a Phenom II chip?
As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"
@bingo..........Hey brother whats up? Hey, man is that your car in your avatar? If so that's a sweet ride and I wouldn't mind taking that puppy for a spin!

Bingo13,
I have updated my C4F BIOS to 1902...
and after my OC Station becomes kind of funny...
like not shut down properly and keep showing error when boot into Win7-64bits
any idea why this happened? Thanks you~
I've been on the 1902 for some time now.
I like it.
I haven't tried the latest beta yet though.
Next time you guys release a board though, for the love of god, make sure those stand offs are correct...
The box should have a sticker on it saying grinder needed.
After swapping them around, my sb is now hotter then my cpu :\, and hardlocks are still there yay lol.
I'll take them off to a grinder eventually and shave off a few mm's on each one.
Does anyone know, since the new crosshair has the new ROG UEFI if there are any plans to bring it to CHIV also.

no, eufi needs a u to change the chip that controls the base boot from one that dose bios to one that dose uefi on the chipset needs to directly support it. also why do u want eufi it dose nothing for you other than boot to a 3TB drive and u should not have an os partition that large so a raid partition will allow u to boot to the drive, and they seam less stable when recovering a bad oc (but that could have changed)
and with windows8 next year MS is supposed to make it so u can boot to a GPT partition and not only an MBR with a bios so there is no loss in sticking with the bios.
