There seems to be a tiny bit of improvement.
Before with turbo with win7-sp1 my fsb and such would droop a bit.
It's much better now, I haven't checked on load though yet.

Bios cmos profiles "are compatible" with 1304's.
Cpu ecc still doesn't work, no special ageas ver, this is a pre-bd bios.

I expect it to act alot like 1304, but it might be a wee bit better in some ways.

I think the bios date for the 1304 is 12/09/10.
And for this 1902, 02/17/11 if I remember right.

Thank you guys for this bios.
Are you Prime stable with that setting? NB3000Mhz with 250 bus? Seems strange here (my max is 2500Mhz @250Mhz bus). With which CPU\NB voltage?

Yeap 3kNB is pretty managable on my 1090T too, with ~1.269 cpu_nb voltage @ 250 fsb

    CIVF (3012) here, too

edit: I missed a digit there

Well 1.29 is not so low as CPU\NB voltage.

BTW I have another question for you:
    real difference between these kits?
    1) CMX4GX3M2B1600C9 rated @1.5V
    2) CMX4GX3M2A1600C8 rated @1.58V
    3) CMX4GX3M2A1600C7 rated @1.65V

    I haven't found anything anywhere.

Yeaa I know, my chip is far from golden ( needs 1.415 real for 4GHz... )

I haven't tested those corsairs, but as far as I can see, apart from the obvious differences in cl & voltage rating (different SPDs as well), it would be the same kit, differently binned

Consider some 2X4GB kits as well, if you are heavily multitasking

[OT]Something quite new in this respect I should consider? I ask it because I can't find anything actually good.[/OT]

At the moment, with the new bios that was just posted, I had to up my cpu-nb voltage because I got a hardlock.
I up'ed it to: +0.112500v, it hardlocked at the 109x setting I have listed above.

All of the above was verified on the 1304 bios.
    8hrs of y cruncher
    12hrs of prime95, custom fft's of 4096k.
    S&m's mem test, normal length.

And a few hours of ghostbusters.
Oh and an hour of zombie killing in black ops.
I've got alot of games to check still.

The cpu and cpu-nb voltages are setup in offset mode, hence the - and +'s.
The cpu voltages for each multi I didn't fill in yet, only the main one which gets the main voltage applied to it, the turbo gets an extra 0.1v on top of that.

Aida64 says this, not sure if it's 100% correct:

    CPU Voltage 1246875 V
    CPU/NB Voltage 1237500 V

If it is correct, it means when I hit turbo mode, 4ghz, my voltage needed is 1.346875v.

My sub timings I left completely alone.

I can't say for sure, but just looking at the specs you posted, my guess is that there is 0 difference.
It's just the C7 set is binned.
The other 2 are the scrape.
    Just my guess though.

    Yep it is .

It seems so far the only thing to needed to pull it off is 1 step on the chipset nb.
    The 1.125v.
    Instead of 1.1v.

It doesn't add much but why not .
Maybe it's checkable in sandra's cache bench I'm not sure.
Adds only a fps or 2 to ps2 emulation.

Thanks for your reply and about the point I quoted I think you are right. The C7 one actually costs +20€ here. So is that the best one between the three?

I don't like those timings. I think you can get better results with 4*2GB, don't you?

    WOW!
I had a first tonight using Bios 3012...

While pushing IMC/Mem clocks I somehow trashed the BIOS. I really thought my machine was screwed!
Every time I turned it on it went to a black screen saying boot block error,
then it scanned the USB/DVD drives saying it couldn't find "C4F.ROM", in a continuous loop...

Delete wouldn't take me into BIOS either, just the black screen with the above message!

Fortunatly I keep all my backup BIOS on the server, so I loaded 1304 on a flash drive, put it in the root directory and renamed it "C4F.ROM"...

Lo and Behold, putting it in the main rig it automatically found the file and reflashed the main rigs BIOS!!!

    All is well!
That could have been really devistating on alot of boards!!!

Huge props to Bingo13 , Asus and their BIOS team, thats an awesome feature...

Almost enough to make me reconsider going back to MSI when the 990FX baords are released.

Wow Dave, that was a narrow escape mate! Well done with the flash drive.

So, what's the best bios for overclocking with Hypers so far? I've been away for some time and i 'm still using bios 0905.

Hey Zeus, long time no see!

Theres a new bios for the C4F, "1902", I haven't tried it yet, was just released today...
In all reality 1304 is probably the most reliable up to this point.

Not sure what to tell you about the Hypers, if your still using an X4 they'll probably serve you pretty well.
If you've moved up to Thuban (X6), your probably not going to have alot of luck with them.
They'll do tight timings on the X6's (~1750 6-6-6), but to me, it seems like Thuban likes higher clocks more than tight timings (unlike Deneb).

The Hypers trashed my OS more times than I would like to think about on the 1090T! Elpedia BBSE, or the new PSC kit's seem to play much better with the X6's and allow higher clocks!

IMHO, if your looking for new MEM, go with a kit that has timings like 7-8-7, or 8-9-8...
Thats usually a good sign that they'll play a little better (high clocks) with the X6's.

I'd stick with 0905, I regret the day I flashed to 1304 and couldn't flash back to 0905, it was the best for me. On the other hand 1304 seems a little bit more efficient. IIRC chew* requested some efficiency optimizations, which seems to be implemented in 1304.

I have not time tested benchmarks at maximum with 1304....All my record are thinking with 0707(superpi, wprime) and 0904 bios (Cinebenchs). Hehe, maybe time to improve my 32M superpi about 14:45?

Anyone seeing any advantage to 1902 yet? I'm still on 1304.

Still 10C air at the rad in the garage (21 at the other), but so far my 24/7 setup with c4f/1090t is 4180 cpu @ 1.5 load, 2866 ht, 3104 cpunb @ 1.2875 set, 2X4gb of relatively cheap gskill 787 @ 1910 8-10-8-24-33-110-1t.

These numbers are all at least 30 min prime blend stable, usually a few hours. I can squeeze a little more out of the ram, and the 1090t will do 4300 @ 1.536 load, while the cpunb will do 3273 @ 1.35625 (with the cpu @ 4.2 - it takes a little less if it's slower). Haven't tried higher yet. Basically for day to day settings, I wanted to keep cpu voltage under 1.52, and cpunb volts under 1.35.

Huge props to Bingo13 , Asus and their BIOS team, thats an awesome feature...
Makes me feel better about having this board. I keep my bios files alos, just incase they disappear from Asus

I haven't checked asus in a while, I'd be willing to try the latest bios just for fun
