Resurrecting Shuttle SD37P2, little modding, creating new psu

Well i bought this barebone for 50€ at winter with broken psu. Well i was able to fixit temporarily (lasted about 4h and then it went fubar ). Well sent the psu to friend of mine who is guru with all kinda electronics and only thing he was able to find that it was really fubar and with really weird structure. There's one fun thing about this rig, it has 2 Pci-E connectors so it supports CF as default and SLI with modded drivers but you'll need single slot vga cards.

I'm planning to use this as my lan rig with following hw:
E6420 / E6600
4GB DDR2
2x 200GB Maxtors @ raid0
32GB Jmcrap SSD (cheapo)
XxX vga card (probably HD4670 from my main rig)

Couple days a got idea how i could use normal ATX psu in this rig. I'd have to force it to be on all the time and then use 12-> ATX supply for pci-e and power supplying for hdds and dvd drive. For that i used a Nexus NX5000 and some ECS 200W 12V -> atx psu.

Some info about oringinal shuttle psu, it only delivers 6 12V lines to mobo and ps_on. Best part is that those 12V lines are 2x 17A Standbys :F

After i modded and resurrected the Nexus sitation looks like this:

Nothing more now, I'll put this thing together soon as i get the oringinal cables from shuttles psu (it's still at friends place).

Oh yea forgot to mention, new psu for shuttle XPCs cost whopping 150€/piece that's little too much for 450W psu.

Yeah. Got the old psu today
Couple hours of wire soldering and here's the fruits of labour:




I might take later New vs Oringinal shots :P
But now the rig works as it should and i'm installing ubuntu to it as a test.

little bump, swapped in the E6420 and HD4670 and then i did little testing with FSB, 365FSB seems to be absolute max

Well i need to get fan with better airflow. Current isn't pushing enought air out, so the air coming from psu is quite hot.
