    Prolimatech Armageddon or Alpenfohn Matterhorn

Hi, I'm going to buy a new cpu cooler.
Which one do you suggest between Prolimatech Armageddon and AlpenFohn Matterhorn ?

I think that the armageddon is better , but I'm not pretty sure.

Theres just isn't enough trustworthy material about the Matterhorn around the nets. Armagheddon otoh is quite mediocre coming a couple of degrees short on Megahalems. If you don't want something the size of a Noctua NH-D14 the Venomous X is the next best thing.

Must agree the megahalems/venomousx will do you fine. The nh d14 has the edge but is just too damn big and the Armageddon falls short of its bigger brther megahalems.

I don't really like megahalems' and venomous' design..
I've choosen the armageddon cuz it leaves some space for tall ram modules and I also like how it looks.
Reading some reviews I've seen that it performs really close to the megahalems, just 1 or 2 degrees worse

Of these 2 HSFs, Matterhorn gets my vote although its performance is still unknown
Armageddon seriously has compatibility issue with some mainboards out there

Then you're lucky there is a list of incompatible mainboards on Prolimatech page, you may want to check it out
