    Hehehe plan is to run either my binned d920 or my still in box 940 on a nice oc and replace my ati with nvidia sli later on. ... I'm done trying to get ati cards to work eyefinity.

    But all this at max OC / load / gaming but silent at the same time. Set and forget.

    Just waiting on my fans/ax1200 to come in for final fitting then i can start modding with mesh, custom make my cables etc

    I have one or 2 layouts in mind but I learned untill its at least mock installed you can never be sure your going to be happy with it.

    Bumped down to 24 gts on rads can't fit push/pull.

    If i had just gone triples on either top or front i could but i just wanted 6 quads.

    Doing 5 or 6 in case for airflow, i know there not the best case fans but i didn't want to mix and match fans.

    incredible build. I am contemplating getting the Mountain Mods case as well. Are you going to get the EVGA SR-2 with the six-core Xeons and 24GB of RAM with Quad GTX-480 SLI? That would complete this monster build!

    I am planning to buy the ascension case, with 1 quad, + 2 triples.
    Is it a nightmare to make the cable management in that case? Do you have any tips or key tricks for it?
    I have not done soldering or sleeving, do I need to do that?

    Your build is still awesome! Your build is sort of my role model. Or your build and justin kerr's Drunken Monkey.

    You don't have to but you will be buying phyobya ext cables and a fan controller my recommendation the new lamptrons fc touch. 1 spliter cable per rad. Plus splitter for whatever case fans you have.

    Basically its a personal thing on what you think looks nice and how your laying out components. I have no front bays so everything has to go to the bottom back. So they have to reach 5-7 feet around case edge.

    If you have a front bay and putting fan controller there its much shorter.

    I know what extension cables are, but what is split cables? I get the name, but I don't understand how they work compared to the extension cables.

    Ok OK

    I have a Zalman fan controller. I think it's a ZM-MFC1 PLUS one. So I can use splitter cables for that one when I am using Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850 fans?

    I thought that: Watt = Volt x Amps

    If I am correct: The startup voltage for the GTs are about 12 at max?

    Watt = Volt x Amps
    W = 12V x 0.360A
    12V x 0.360A = 4.32W

    The Zalman ZM-MFC1 has 7W/channel. So I can not have more than 1 fan per channel.

    Maybe I should buy the Sunbeam Rhobeus?
    It has 20W/Channel!

    With the Blue LEDs? I have that and already one of my knob's LEDs are messed up... either one of the LEDs behind the knob is bust or they're both dimmer than they're supposed to be.
