Couldn't you guys boot at a low HT Ref. and NB multi and OC it via AOD?
This issue has to do with very high clocks though BEEP. It hangs on splash screen. POwer off PSU, wait about 5 secs power on reboot and it goes into windows fine and is stable......It's when a known good stable speed does it but not likely ever to see this on air/water.

I have run into no OCP/OVP issues at all so far on air/water on this board, just regulation issues which casues prime stability issues, benching is fine.

We could but we could still possibly trigger OVP/OCP once we put it under load. Booting vista is less load than wprime. Now booting XP is a diff story but i observed this under vista with a killawatt plugged in and I am 100% sure vista boot was not as much stress as wprime/06 cpu test.

Basically for reliable benching/booting this board needs 1.725vmax and 1.50v max cpu-nb with nb at 4000 currently.

As always condensation is not a factor when I test. Not playing the RMA game so no need for me to keep board "looking clean" but board is certainly shiny and sealed from the elements top to bottom.

@msimax: How far can you push the HTT clock on this board? I expect 300MHz at least

    Testing on air:

And budget ram, atleast compared to most of the guys here. Team Xtreem 2000 Mhz CL9. Not a bad run I would think and I am still testing. BTW what bios are you guys using. AM on 0702 right now, which seems to be the latest for this board.

This board is coming along, still needs some work vcore wise but things to note. HT fluctuation appears fixed.

Ram clocking appears to be improved in the sense that speeds are stable now and not just benchable.

Still working with ASUS on some vcore issues I feel need attention for a tad more stability with less voltage and LLC on/off voltage. Currently there is no happy medium so if using this board and choosing to use LLC set voltage .050 under desired vcore, LLC off set voltage .050 over desired.

Once that stuff is straightened out I think we can focus on CPC performance.

*EDIT* added 7-7-7 timing results. I believe after a little exploration there is an IMC limit as far as prime 95 stability after 1900.

I seem to be facing a funny problem of the CPU throttling as soon as it reaches 62 degrees. So running prime at 4.0 1.475 and then suddenly the moment it reaches 62 degrees it moves down to 1600 1.45v and after a while moves back up....Any way to stop this?

cpu must be throttling then, upgrade cooling

I will have to link you to stuff I use dumo.

How is the cold rating on that stuff?

Most solutions crack or lift up under extreme cold.

Here's stuff msimax is using now. We can pour ln2 right on it and it just beads off. His sprays on.

    Mine brushes on.

    Here you go dumo

A quart should last you a while and it can be thinned to strech it.

Also in a pinch you can use white primer spray from home depot/lowes.

I used it in taiwan at gigabyte.

    Thanks for info chew

Twice I had to abort bench with this board on D5 on post code reader. It will save LN2

It looks like your old ATI mantaray ES board

I have this strange problem too.

1100T + Antec Kuhler H20 920 (CPU: 54max, CPUcore: 43max). In prime95 and Linx I have drops of multiplier and voltage for a while, then it comes back. I had this CPU on MSI GD70 with worst cooling (CPU 64max, core 56max) and havent noticed any drops.

    CPU 4000 1.425 (iddle 1.440, load 1.464), NB 3000 1.35, RAMS 2000 (7-9-7) 1.675.

I can run Cinenench X64 at 4300 with no problems and no stability problems either. But Linx and prime95 makes me insane.
