I want upgrade my mobo and RAM, and was looking for the 890FXA-UD5.
Exist another mobo (ASUS, Gigabyte or MSI) that can deliver the same or a similar performance for a less price?

Yeah I know that the 790FXTA-UD5 is a very good mobo too, but I can't fin any one (on newegg is currently unavailable).

I thought ASRock was owned by Asus
according to wiki, spun off from asus and chaired by its co-founder to compete against ECS and Foxconn etc, but has gained some momentum the last couple of years in the enthusiast market.Originally Posted by Hey Zeus

to the OP, if you're looking for price/performance but at the same time only looking at premium brands, you're gonna find yourself stuck. buy what is fast, not what you think is fast. so have a look at asrock, biostar and foxconn as well.

There is a vanilla ASUS 890FX board around...ie. not the Crosshair
Biostar's 890FX doesn't look half bad either.
