sorry to hear mate, still going strong now but swapping out for some quick tests for Super Talent 2200 8-8-8-24 kits - so far looking good on cas6 clocks between 900-950mhz

not sure yet - i7 980x tests are needed for 980x review so i get a full understanding on 980x IMC first

Eva are KINGSTON KHX2000C8D3T1K2/4GX also 100% elpida Hyper. Can only find KHX2000C9AD3T1FK3/6GX which are probably different chips here
So ill probably go for 1 kit of the first one for now and 1 later if they are hyper elpida's

Dual channel 2000c8 are 99% not hyper, I'm afraid.
BBSE or equivalent are binned up to triple 2000c9(or 2133c9)/dual 2133c8/2200c9.

Besides really few KHX2000C8D3T1K3/6GX can perform as good as eva2000's IMHO.

chances are KINGSTON KHX2000C8D3T1K2/4GX if 8-8-8-24 rated could be elpida hyper, as i don't think powerchips are capable of such timings at DDR3-2000Mhz even on P55 dual channel.

    Hey eva2000.

I bought the same kit but the dual channel one. They seem to be pretty awsome sticks!

Having some issues with subtimings though!

Any advice you can give in regards to subtimings?

    TCL 8
    TRCP 8
    TRP 8
    TRAS 24
    TRFC 110
    TWR 19
    TRRD 8
    TRTP 8
    TWTR 8

These are the XMP profiles, but when i go to set my timings i can set it to this.

    TCL 8
    TRCP 8
    TRP 8
    TRAS 24
    TRFC 110
    TWR 12
    TRRD 7
    TRTP 7
    TWTR 7

This is on the following specs

    AMD 1090T
    MSI 890fxa-GD70
    Corsair TX-750
    EAH5870-VT
    Custom water cooling loop.

I realise it's a completely different setup, and also that the GD-70 is still in it's infancy but i just can't seem to get the memory to pass memtest.

I've managed to get it to pass a single pass of Test#5 but fails on the second pass, always at about 1.8-2.0gb (rest is fine) with the below settings

    1600mhz @1.7v
    TCL 6
    TRCP 6
    TRP 6
    TRAS 19
    TRFC 90
    TWR 12
    TRRD 6
    TRTP 6
    TWTR 6

    Any advice on the subtimings?

I have tries 6-7-6 and these had the same effect as 6-6-6. It loads into windows fine but cannot pass a memtest.

I played with the subtimings and it got less issues hence why I'm asking for help with subtimings.

Eva no worries mate. I'll try a couple of subtimings that people have found on the xmp profiles (which vary from mine which is weird).

    Thanks

your findings were true eva . today I tested this kit, and managed to get 925 6-6-6-20 32m stable at 1.8v bios set vdimm / around 1.792v real /
1000 6-9-6-20 1.84v win boot ok, but 32m stability is far even with 1.88v bios set vdimm ish..
seems, not trcd is the limiting factor
i think i"ll go cold with them

im yet to see any hypers go above 1900+ , they usually cap out at around 1800-1900 even under l2n with cas 6.. im sure u can get them to run cas 7 quite easily though.. but cas 6 ive only seen it once or twice

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

yes, I read the same, and thats why im trying to push them as far as i can, to see what they can do on air in c6 but i think they will get ln2 on their heads for some 2k c6 action.
    i think maybe i can reach 1900 c6 32m stable on air
i eat my breakfast then give it a spin

    /c7 is easy up to 2200mhz with a 980x /

Wow that's really nice... Thank you for sharing. I've found a kit of these in Australia, and I'll be buying it next week. Hope to have some luck and get a 24/7 speed of 2000 c7 on my classy and 920. Cheers. Federico.
