what's the difference between the regular monsta and this lite version if both accept 3 x140mm fans? is it the thickness of the rad?

Yep, the thickness. It's right in between the thickness of the average rad and the Monsta.

It is quite capable rad, but the price is on the premier side.

Two bonus include taking either 140 or 120 mm fan, and 2 additional g1/4 on the side, which does come in handy in certain mounting location.
    i7 920(default), Evga classified, Nvidia 260, Crucial Triple Kit 1600, Areca ARC-1231ML.

MCP655-B, Heatkiller 3.0, SilverCoil, distill, EK RES 250,
Norprene 1/2ID, 8x Silenx iXtrema Pro 120mm, Fraser quad.

If you really don't mind paying a whole lot more for average performance. . .sure , go ahead. Me personally, I'd rather buy 2 MCR480's from P-PC's for a little less and get overwhelming bang for the buck.

    Is that Swiftech a dual-pass?

only one radiator I can think of that is not dual pass... that HWLabs with barb ports on the opposing tanks, Cross Flow or something like that... I'm too lazy to look.

You could argue on the HWLabs GTX about being dual pass, but it is.

I won't be testing/reviewing the Monsta Lite, with only 150 being produced for global distribution there really wasn't a good reason for TFC or Frozen CPU to have one sent over.

My guess on performance would be slightly better than the regular X-Changer across all fan speeds. And that is seriously a guess based on photos, dimensions and what not.

    I couldn't agree more
Bragging rights never seemed worthy paying a great deal of dough to me.

Love the gaskets as well. Bit to pricey for me, although a great design.

What I do like about these rads is the gaskets and a choice between fan sizes.
