Any other detail about other DFI boards and X6 support? Like the 790FXB-M2RSH.

i just ordered this board to replace the m2rsh (which i inadvertantly popped the soldered bios chip off of), to pair with a 1090T.

i will program the board with the latest 0707 bios via SPI header (bought a sempron am3 in case that option does not work).

bought cl6 ocz plat 2x2gb ddr3 1600 to pair with it.

any issues i should be aware of?

Both mine worked great with 1090,problem is you cant go back to 965/955 because disabling CnQ and certain other oc bios changes will cause a no boot.
have to clear cmos to start up.this with 7-07 bios and 5-17.

This happens only once after changing cpu (x6 to x4 or older) requiring a CMOS clear once, or with any pre x6 cpu you just can't switch some bios options permanently with these beta bios?

I was thinking to try these newer bios with my C2, just to check if there's any improvement at higher than the 1333 divider.

Its permanent. I went back to the original bios and it will still lock up and no start with an oc exceeded message.works fine with the 1090.So I went with the asrock since no more bioses are likely to fix the issue.Im on the 790fxb M3H5 right now with the 965.works good I just dont like having to keep the CnQ running.

Thanks for the warning! I guess for this C2 dinossaur (heh, everything else on this setup screams may 09) I'll have to wait for non beta bios for them to have this problems sorted out. The DFI forums seem down for some days already, I hope they didn't pull the plug too on community support. The end of DFI street was already too much.

    Board works great with 1090t.

Cant get my ram to post at divider 1600 below cas 8 so have to use 1066 and htt to 300.

Nb chip is maxing at 55c (I have a fan on stock nb sink). Looks like ill have to try and place another on the side of it. Forgot to reapply tim while board was out of the case. Does anyone know what the nb chip is rated for?

if i could get a post at below cas8 at ddr1600 divider, that might shave off a few c on the nb.

any ideas on how to accomplish a POST?

When I was at it, I found that posting with these sticks and a 1600 divider was very hard on the orange slots. I would get a c1 code most times, and a way to help with it, was raising trc to high values, 38 and up proven easier to boot. This wasn't dependent on CPU_NB voltage, and even CL8 wasn't always bootable, while 9 surely was.
But even this way, sometimes it wouldn't start after a cold boot. Strangely, the yellow slots have proved to be more stable at that divider, causing no c1 errors for the few times I've tried.
I even tried the same CPU and sticks on another board (same DFI model, but an April 09 bios IIRC), but it behaved exactly the same, c1 on orange slots and boot with the yellow ones. I assumed it was my old C2 CPU, as most boards favor the 3+4 slots instead.

tried yellow. no go with below cas8 at ddr1600 divider.

    ah well...

ended up leaving them in yellow (haven't perceived a difference between orange (3+4) and yellow (1+2) on this board as of yet.

have to try and get my chipset down a few c so i can bring my NB up further (maxes out at round 55c currently).
