    Thuban needs clean windows install??

Well Ive been contemplating several things that could effect my overclocking results. About an hour ago I was going through some temp programs and I realized coretemp and AOD do not show any temps........then I started to think how Im getting better results on 32bit then on 64bit when they should basically be the same. The only difference I see is that the 32bit OS was installed with the 1090T in the computer and the Windows 7 64bit was a week old install with the Deneb in it at the time. Could this result in the discrepancy??

Anybody with some insight or ideas?

everytime ive upgraded cpu's and kept the same install and just changed the drivers
i always end up with weird glitches and they disappear very fast once i do a clean install.

Weird, i have had the same load of win 7 64 since last year and have had 4 motherboards and 3 CPUs on it.... runs smooth and no issues. But I have heard of weird things like that, could be possible.

I'm on my old Vista 64 install, but my Win 7 64 will be installed from scratch (mostly because I can't use same RAID array on this mobo so I need to create new matrix and then install Windows again).

But yes, it's software from Microsoft so you never know!

I did a fresh install of Windows 7 from a vista instal that was more than one year old. I did this for the added support of the cpu and for the 470 that arrives today. Its also better at its ram usage than vista. With vista I had to disable the diagnosis and repair function along with a service that controls the deactivation of programs using to much memory at 75% mem usage. This kills programs at 75% regardless of how much memory you have. If it was even possible it would still kill programs at 75% when you have 100GB of memory it would still kill the programs when there is 25GB of memory left. Of course I have 4GB and play crysis 64bit which has taken the memory usage up to the 75% and higher range. I got tired of it killing crysis.
