Cool Bye Bye Morphing Mouse -- :)))

At last the ATI 5000 Series Morphing Mouse is gone.
I am extremely happy right now.
I can now setup a Crossfire system and know i will
be able to take complete advantage of it.

What? If you're referring to the corrupt cursor bug with multiple monitors, not for me. What Cat release are you using? What OS?

It's relatively common - a quick browse of the ATi forums will reveal a fair few threads with a lot of posts on the problem.

Ah, the other ATi/Win7 pointer bug. I wish they'd fix the one I'm currently afflicted with.

    Non-issue
Just wiggle the cursor back and forth between the 2 monitors a couple of times = gone.

That may work for some folks, but it's not a guaranteed fix.

    Definitely not a non-issue.

cat 10.4 actually crashed my PC pretty hard. I had to roll back to 10.2. I couldn't even watch a 20 minute TED Talk for longer than 2-3 minutes at a time because of 10.4.

I may be talking about a different bug. Sometimes when moving from middle monitor to left monitor the cursor transforms into a 1/2" tall vertical line but only on the left monitor.
There is also a button to press that makes the cursor larger to find it easier on large monitors. Not sure what morphing mouse is?

Yep, this bug. Moving the cursor between the two screens will sometimes fix the problem on some setups, but that doesn't make the problem a non-issue - for example, when this problem shows up for me, as it regularly does, the only solution is to turn on pointer trails, therefore borking performance in 3D games, or to restart the machine.

Hmmm. Never happened for a year with CF 4870s. Only noticed the line version a couple of times with the 5870. I do use the largest cursor possible 'cause it's easy to lose track of @ 5960 x 1080.
