I think the question should be is there any reason to disable them.
    I'm not a heavy gamer so i can't say.
MS Hearts wouldn't have much of an affect in it.
I use my machine for work.
I just posted links for you because I do know how to use google. (warning sarcasm..)

For gaming I would turn HT off unless the game is multi-threaded and can use more than 4 cores. Leave Turbo On as it will boost speed if only 1, 2, or 3 cores are being used during game play.

I have HT on, but I do not have turbo considering most games do not use multi cores you wont see a difference.

what you just said is totally contradictory to itself. if you won't see a difference in more threads within a game then HT would be what you should disable, turbo should be enabled as the multiplier could essentially increase if the game only used 3 2 or 1 core.

HT = near useless (especially if you are crunching, it can actually degrade performace, not mentioning that you will end at lower OC)

Turbo.. on i7 920 = extreme usefull x21 multi .. on 930 its x22 which are stable as other even multipliers (eg. useless).

On others, depends what you have.. if its even or uneven multi. Dont know how it works or doesnt with Extreme editions..

Leave HT on as it helps a bit, adds a few extra FPS!

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Forgot to mention, Turbo isnt a extra core its just +1 onto your current multi, It gives a extra 100 or 200MHZ, i'd say leave it off because you could overclock your CPU to any speed really..

thats debatable, with the way that the windows scheduler works it will ballance load over all cores and not work the numbe that the software uses over. so if u are not using more than 4 cores it will go slower as HT makes u have 4 real threads and 4 crippled for easy int work only
