sorry for my bad english
Gigabyte Battlefield Pi 1M #3
Great, this is really cool to see.
The more people who gets to interact and learn about overclocking, the better for all .
I only play the games, listed at hwbot
I'm still 20 , Mean Machine and Oliver can vouch for me, I just have a thingy that makes me look far older...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
I'm past my teens and I still haven't played with dice or LN2
yea this sounds fun, im in
BF2 is my favorite but i cannot get the 1.50 patch to work
if we use our rigs this could be a challenge between H2O, jellyrole, metalop1g and myself
oh yea and i'm not changing my cooling to xtreme cooling

openarena 1on1 tournament with railguns and a score of 10 XD
can anyone tell me how can the most of you get i7 or i5 rigs?
well its pretty obvious, money and im not trying to be arrogant so please don't take this the wrong way.
yeah but how do you get the money for i7/i5 rigs? as they cost quite a bit
just money i had and some more for bday's.
anyway i think we should have a vantage challenge split into two sections, amd and intel
can we do this in like july coz i have exams and i'm working on a little project, but its not going to change my spec's

Yea I got my i7 with my college loan. It costed me an arm, that I"m going to have to give back to the gov in a couple of years but hey. It"s going to last me a couple of years!
Also, after the final exams would be a good moment for all of us(I think) but let"s not all say when it would be perfect for us, because it can,"t be perfect for everybody
I am 17.
Though still with a crappy p4 3.2(prescot)@3.4(crappy board too....,thank god it has a pcix@16)...(though i think it's soon going to be replaced by a thuban...just waiting for exams to start/end and then to get a job )
I don't think I have any change of competing against you guys
Have used DI at 15 for first time(with my old p4p800 asus ) and last time was 4 months ago where a bided farewell to my abit board....
I KNOW MASSMAN DISLIKES YOU.
Competition ranking: Better than the danes in everything I've ever entered.Originally Posted by saaya
My "favorite" is L4D2, but that's not really a Deathmatch type. CS:S is extremely popular. I suppose BF2 would be a good choice; a lot of younger uni/college students can't regularly afford new $60 AAA titles. As is, the last time I paid retail for a game was back in October 08 when I bought Fallout 3.
My toys:
Asus Sabertooth X58 | Core i7-950 (D0) | CM Hyper 212+ | G.Skill Sniper LV 12GB DDR3-1600 CL9 | GeForce GTX 670-2048MB | OCZ Agility 4 512GB, WD Raptor 150GB x 3 (RAID0), WD Black 1TB x 2 (RAID0) | XFX 650W CAH9 | Lian-Li PC-9F | Win 7 Pro x86-64
Gigabyte EX58-UD3R | Core i7-920 (D0) | Stock HSF | G.Skill Sniper LV 4GB DDR3-1600 CL9 | Radeon HD 2600 Pro 512MB | WD Caviar 80GB IDE, 4TB x 2 (RAID5) | Corsair TX750 | XClio 188AF | Win 7 Pro x86-64
Dell Dimension 8400 | Pentium 4 530 HT (E0) | Stock HSF | 1.5GB DDR2-400 CL3 | GeForce 8800 GT 256MB | WD Caviar 160GB SATA | Stock PSU | (Broken) Stock Case | Win Vista HP x86
Little Dot DAC_I | Little Dot MK IV | Beyerdynamic DT-880 Premium (600 Ω) | TEAC AG-H300 MkIII | Polk Audio Monitor 5 Series 2's
Oh and yea btw I'm all over CS:S. all over
I don't play games at all but i still like to mess about with my pc. e8400 (cooled by a custom loop with 120.3 rad) 500gb hdd 3gb of ram, 500gb hard drive, 24" DELL monitor and the best of all a 6800gt.
It's overkill for me since i run at stock speeds.
Can we bench BENCHES and not bench games? You play games...and they aren't accurate.
I only play the games that you can submit on HWBOT.org
Smile
I agree - games are too variable and it would be too hard to determine a winner.
I think the best way to do it would be the average overclock of the CPU, GPU, and maybe the RAM. This way, people without top of the line systems could still participate. There would need to be some limits (i.e. you can't run a single core on a quad core, and you must use 2GB of RAM), but I think that it would work out better, since most people don't have $3k+ to drop on hardware that would probably win any Vantage/benchmark competition.
Wow, seems like I've been a bit slow , I did not know that this will become popular Um well, I first started messing around with computers at the age of like 7?.... though my dad was beside me all the time, ( usually ).
Now? Messing around with my Core i7 920 C0 on air , also helps my dad Overclock his PC.
Will post some pics up soon of my re-build, its not the greatest but its not bad ( in terms of organization )
Hope you yall can provide me with some tips :P
Also, lets not care about money, or the epicness of your build.
Just keep it for fun, share thoughts on your rig even if you have a P-III, or Dual W56xx Hex-Cores.
Most importantly how "Extreme" you can get with your current rig. ( Try not to go overboard with Ln2 please, at most water and air ), I'm still on AIR No funds to proceed with water or Ln2
