    Yep. Netbooks can actually crunch pretty well. Put it on HCC only and it'll run them great. I have my parents atom crunching too, and it's only on about 8 hours a day. Still returns valid work.

    2GHz Pentium T3200 that runs at 24/7 from a dear friend. Good for a 250-350 BOINC average.

    IMHO Waste is a computer going to a landfill having done actual computations less than 90% of it's life. 90% of the computers powered on right now are idle or powered off; what a waste! [/B]

    Is it a coincidence that your wifes pc is called Uranus?

    WCG, my grid, device manager

    find which one it is and change it to a different profile. Then just click on that profile to set it how you want.

    I temporarily reinstated my HTPC, but only for this one week. It isn't meant to be crunching, and I already blew out its PSU last year

    So, in this thread, I should post the ones I run for THE WEEK and in the original Core Countdown the long-term ones?

    BTW, Jcool, wrong avatar!

    No, you should post only cores/threads that you added recently... And not already posted by you (if any) in a previous countdown thread...

    My bad for being unclear

    Cores for SUPERCOMPUTER WEEK --> 500 thread
    Cores for long-term --> 1000 thread

    That way? I don't mean double-posting cores from one thread or another

    After we finished the 1000 thread one we started this just to ramp up for the supercomputing week, so regardless of whether it's here for just the week or for the long haul, count em up here!

    We'll start up another thread after the weeks up.
