    Hd 4890 Problem

I recently bought a 2nd 4890 for a crossfire solution. Plugged it in and everything seemed to work fine except when I went into Catalyst Overdrive I couldn't change the settings of the 2nd card, it just gave me the error message: "ati overdrive capabilities have not been properly initialized yet, try again later." So I thought I'd try MSI afterburner instead. It allowed me to change the clock & fan speed but when I hit apply it switched back to its original settings.

Anyone have any ideas why this is happing? I thought it was the crossfire causing the problem and I removed the 1st card and still the same problem.
    Defective card maybe?

I agree -- try nuking your drivers and re-installing. I have not seen that before and I've had 4890 Crossfire since last June.
