Shiny. Very uneventful timing-voltage-rated speed though.

They should put some of these heatsinks on their ECC-RAMs. They are really good chips, but looks really odd without a cooler.

I love how they silk-screened on the specs instead of slapping a God-awful sticker onto the heatsink.

they still have a sticker, it's just on the back side of the heat-sink. i have a lot of hope for these modules as i remember fondly my time spend with a set of ballistix and a 780i.

What's with the fins lately on ram heatsinks? On most mobos, they interfere with decent sized air coolers and screw you from using all 4 dimm slots.
As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"

They still have stickers with part numbers:

No doubt that the warranty is void if removed

Finally, something that differentiates it from the Value Dimms and regular Ballistix w/ heatspeaders. Only took a few years .

Hows the quality control of Cruicial's DDR3?
    Intel Q6600 | Abit IP35 Pro | Crucial Ballistix 8500 | Corsair 620HX | Samsung SH-S203B | Seagate 400GB | PNY 8800GT 512MB | Samsung 22" 225BW

crucial has always had good quality control the only problem was with the 1GB ddr2 sticks that were not living vary long due to the chips used. but crucial is part of micron so they generally have whatever micron is putting out in their higher end
