Interesting how they used actors. Kinda reminds me of a CnC.

2 sucked, I hope this one doesn't disappoint.

Agreed, this game felt like a rushjob and there was like no marketing around it, I mean when FEAR first got released it was like here we present you what we expect to be "the game of the year" etc but FEAR2 launch was really silent and game was nothing special by any means.

this better not be anything close to fear 2, fear was so good, fear 2 was such , will pay $5 to play it thru though if it ever drops down. First fear was a SWEET ASS single player I woudl play that game thru again now. Multi was a blast for a long time until all the hackers ruined the community. Fear 2 was fail out the door for no MP PERIOD, hopefully fear 3 will bring a SP experience close to the first and have some kind of decent MP.

Monolith isn't making this? They're "collaborators"?

I'm not sure if I like that trailer. I still need to play F.E.A.R. 2.

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

That ancient game, Wing Commander IV, used live action cut scenes. Though it was not FPS, rather a space flight/sim action game, the live action scenes worked well in the game play, it really did add to the immersive experience.

Nicely produced movie trailer, for a video game developer.

I always wondered why (modern) video games don't use live movie production like this for their cut-screens. With the right lighting and special effects, combined with accurately matched in game models and maps, it would provide awesome immersion, IMO.

I'd speculate that production costs could be one of the prohibitive factors though.

I like live actors, but more ingame footage wouldn't hurt...

Too bad Monolith is doing it -- they really screwed the pooch on FEAR 2. They never got the demo running properly so I never bought it, and then I heard they released it on STEAM only, so I wouldn't have bought it anyway, lol. The first one was awesome tho...

But Monolith made the first... They aren't even the developers, they're just collaborators if this info is correct. The demo worked flawlessly for me, through steam no less!

well, its a WB game... so they know how to get this done quickly, efficiently, with good quality and probably at reasonable cost... most game devs dont have the equippment and know how to do short movie scenes like this i bet... so theyd have to hire an external studio to do it which would mean $$$

and yeah, i want more in game footage and...
id like to know just wth the story is about... it seems to have very little to do with fear2 if anything at all
