Talking Swiftech MCW80 (yes, you read that right) is coming!

Got a bit of info from Gabe that some may want to see. Did a search and came up with nothing so I think this is new to most Very nice temps on the GPU considering the clocks VRM is being cooled with the unisink and a very low speed fan.

    MCW80 and Unisink

Not at all considering that's Xtreme Burning Mode. Look at the juice getting sucked through the GPU!

Maybe Gabe will send me some for testing, maybe Gabe? hahaha

DARN... just as I mount my mcw60 a new universal block comes out...

BTW: those pictures are WAY too BIG!

The new block doesn't look bad at all... But I wouldn't worry about it. A couple of degrees one way or the other won't make a bit of difference in a GPU (most of the time, at least).

Those could be easily resolved with better area ventilation.

And what type of cards will it fit? Only newer cards, or something like G92 as well?

The picture makes me assume it'll be compatible with whatever the MCW60 was.

    1. About frakking time
    2. Looks nice. Most likely just a modified top to take better advantage of the pin design but, I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time).
    3. If it doesn't work with 61mm (diagonal) hole spacing, I'm not interested. I've already got enough GPU blocks like this that don't fit.
    4. Does Gabe know you posted this?

In terms of VRM temperatures, as one of the previous posters said it could be solved with better area airflow. Realistically though Fur XBM is not representative of any real-life load so those temps will never occur in reality. The good thing is that even with that the sink is still holding. Anyway, the real nice thing are the temperatures on the GPU core, even with Fur XBM they are only hitting 33C which is just superb

Unfortunately I do not have any details on it or internal pics but maybe I will get some and then post back, or maybe Gabe will chime in

And yeah, he does know that I posted this

I so NEED that block to replace my Maze5GPU. I didn't get a MCW60 since the exterior just looked so damned cheap. It looked like a cheap toy. I know it performed nicely, but I just couldn't get past the looks of it.

are these temps on an individual loop?! and what sort of radiator-age are you using?! it doesnt mean very much if you have 2 pa140.3s in this loop as most of us mere mortals wont have that sorta hardware, but if this was on one pa120.3 or equivalent, then excellent!

oh, and wont it be an improvement to use a heatpipe to the vrms to improve the cooling that they get ?!

Given the expense of brass, my bet would be that the top is injection molded POM (just like the MCW60). The old Silverprop FusionHL or FusionSL GPU blocks, though, would be great for setups with phase chillers (copper base with all brass top and integrated brass barbs)... the trick is finding some.

I like this, I really want reusable vga blocks, never cared for the look of the 60's. I'll be paying attention to these.

Working on it... trying to get a HW sponsor, but if that falls threw we'll be getting atleast one GTX480 for a round-up.
