A dualy setup in the US cost me $163 (board, CPUs, 4gigs), I already had the other parts on hand. The total cost of the quad I'm guessing to be $300ish + (powersupply and boot drive)

how much did a single setup cost you in total?
    cpu's: 4 x 27.50$ = 110$
board = 100$ will be 75 for the 3 other ones.
    8gb ram 16 x 5$ = 80$
80 gb hdd = 0$ i have prenty of these.
psu = 145$ for a new corsair hx 650 watt in denmark.
    heatsinks 4 x 10$ = 40$
    retention brackets 4 x 3$ = 12$

total is around 487$ plus shipping.
i might change the psu to something cheaper.. i have not brought them yet.
so when the boards cost 75$ and if i take a psu for around 100 instead, total will be very close to 400$ which in my mind is CRAZY cheap for a 16 core, 4 socket monster. with a pcie x16 slot so you can actually use it for a workstation, and not to forget 4 x 1 gbit network.

how can anyone in here not want atleast 1 of these for around 400$ total.

wow, that's pretty sick... what's the estimated PPD for it? i would imagine it has to be somewhere around 60kPPD
