Okay, they sent me a 2214 instead, yay. The board posts, double yay. It already has the most current BIOS I think, hmmm.
EDIT: Nevermind, I'm 10 BIOS versions off the most current. Time to make the donuts. Easist way to upload BIOS on these boards with no floppy?
Okay USB Dos drive works. Single 8347 WORKS, dual 8347 NO POST. Ugh need to sleep but gotta figure this out.
Bad stick of ram it seems, both CPUs up and working. Had a plastic smell pop up before I shut it down so need to see if I can track that down before I fire it up again.
lol sounds like you're on the right track. good luck! keep us updated

i got some stuff today now i just have to buy some psu's, and get the exact pin layout of this arima quad board.
16 x 8347 (have had them a while now)
16 retention brackets
16 coolers
64 x 512 mb ram = 32 gb total
2 boards. one is the same as this bulk buy, so i can now test for ppl in europe if its nessesary. the other is a arima dual socket board, because i might use it as a storage server. i have 8 x 1.5 tb disk on a perc 6i raid card, sitting in a overclocked i7 machine atm, i would like to move it to a safer place.

ok, here is a start on the build. i have taken lots of pictures of me installing the cpu's. to try and answer some questions.
i will still buy 4 more boards, if everything works out on this "tryout" board.
i will need some answers on the power supply Duh, if you cn supply me with them, then i can start up this baby and test if everything works.
specs are:
4 x 8347 1,9ghz
16 x 512 mb 400mhz reg ecc (pc2-3200r)
4 retention thingies, modded with a hobbyknife to fit socket 1207
standard backplate, came on the board.
4 cooler master alu heatsinks with fans.
here are the power pictures. i need help with how to wire these correct.
first picture, is it correct ? (i think it is)
second picture, is it correct ? (i think its wrong)
thrid picture, is it correct ? (i think it is)
retention brackets need some trimming, its no bigie, i did it with a doll hobbyknife, takes about 4 minutes each.
here is the cpu locking lever, it works without bending it, but it touches the retention bracket slightly, so i just took this tool and pressed it a bit together.
cpu with heatsinks mounted. (pr0n)
Judging by the color that's PCIE 8pin? and not EPS... it won't work.
Connector 1 = 2 EPS
Connector 2 = 1 EPS + 1 pcie backwards
NO! If you use those w/o modding you'll fry the psu as you will short circuit the gnd and 12v lines.
And Pci-E connectors have mirrored pinouts compared to EPSs and P4s.

i have just double checked the ebay listing that said this cable where a EPS 8 pin cable. and i seem to have recieved the wrong cables.. the seller is free-club, so watch out for him.
i will hunt the net for some real EPS 8 pin cables now.

Hang on.... lemme check something.
OK. EPS12V has the yellow 12V wires on the clip side, black GND on the other. those you have are PCIe which are the other way round (GND on clip side, etc).
So... the real question is, are those sockets wired for EPS12V or not? Shoot I cannot find it, is there a manual or something for this board someplace?

yes crappy guy, says one thing and sends another.. well i fund a ebay link to something that both look right and sounds right.
http://cgi.ebay.com/2-HD-Molex-EPS-8...item518d500e3c
and its from the states, not hong kong.
Since you modded the alone black pins to 12V, all that's left is to switch them around, either force all the connectors backwards on the board, -or- rewire them: all pins facing end of the board yellow(12V), the pins facing the ram, black.
I'll have to see if I can find him, but there was one seller I got a few cables from that was very quick, excellent cables, and reasonable on prices.
