    Temperatures

Quick question for some of the more experienced liquid builders here; Is a delta T of 20c on the processor from idle to 1 HR on prime good? It's much smaller than when I was on air for sure. I'm completed my first LC build and would like some feedback on those thermal results. I have the CPU, GPU and NB/SB in the loop.

    i7 920 @ 3.8 ghz 1.2v HT on
    gtx 260 @ 700 1509 1130

28c idle 48c load on CPU

    thanks!!

Sorry. Yea for the CPU. I edited my original post.

Is it a better indicator to monitor the delta T of the water?

    Your temps are very nice.

    Room temp ?

Try loading with LinX ( Max memory used ) since its probably the best "burn" test.

those are excellent temps, what is your setup?

are you sure that 920 is stable at 1.2v, great cpu you got there then...

check out my build log for details on my setup (murderMod Omega)

Had to stop it because I'm supposed to raid tonight on WoW.. I know.. I'm a nerd but you get the idea from the screen shot

The ambient temperature at test start was 23.3c

If I'm interpreting this correctly, you're showing 32-33 degrees C at idle, and (I assume) the max temps of 52-55 degrees C are for 100% load? If so, then I'd say you've got a great setup going. Your ambients help a bit, as does your nice Vcore - nice job!

Yea that's what I was getting at. I was wondering if that was good for having 3 heat producers in the loop. (NB/SB-CPU-GPU) I guess it is! This is also with fans running at 80%

The ambient temperature changes by about 5f depending. I was looking at the delta T on each core, 22.5c averaged between cores.

After playing with the overclock, 3.8ghz seems to be the sweet spot for this processor. I got this overclock changing 1 value in the BIOS.

    CPU-PLL voltage to 1.84v

To get any more out of it, I have to push a lot of values up to get it stable. It will boot at 4Ghz with only this change but it's not stable.
