Sony Zaps PlayStation 3 'Install Other OS' Feature

who installs linux on a ps3 and then plays games using the playstation network?
why would anybody do that?

i agree that its stupid from sony to lock a function like that, but... i really dont see why anybody actually cares?

i do, i have a an snes emu and some other homebru on linux, then marvel v capcom on psn

Wow...... I don't know whether to feel good or bad about this. I guess a partial refund is better than nothing but I imagine there are gonna be some unhappy people either way. I'm interested to see where this story is gonna go.
