Just went through the guru3D review. All it did was reconfirm my reasons for not going to that website. What kind of professional reviewer uses language like he does ?

Cards performance is about where I expected, the power/heat is a bit ridiculous given the performance numbers. Its not a fail but its not a hit out of the park by far.

One thing to consider, Fermi's minimum FPS is even better than its average FPS related to ATI. Both Anandtech and HWC reviews (I think) establish this.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

I dont agree with people calling Fermi an Overall "Fail" I mean is it MIND BLOWING UNBELIEVABLE. no It isnt. But it is a Solid start with the New Architecture. Wether nVidia or ATI it doesnt matter Developing a new Architecture Isnt a walk in the park. I think nVidia will Improve on Fermi. And Just out of MY Preference i will Invest in Fermi.
its over 6months late and they have had usable quantities of cards for over 4-5months, so for drivers im not expecting much, what we need to see if a volt mod or voltage control and liquid

those numbers look wrong the 5870 should beat a 295 in farcry2, that scaling also looks wrong, getting over 90% scaling on a cytec game is vary strange

POS ATI card against what? Fermi is late and it sucks donkey balls, badly.
As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"

The 470 review on HWC is still giving a database error for me

I think this was an inevitable outcome. The card was highly contentious from the start - and add in the fact that the game has the largest performance delta I have ever seen on a newly released card (going from -10% to +50% depending on titles), the biases and leanings come out quite easily, since reviewers (AND users) can choose to cherry pick certain titles and claim something vastly different from someone else's conclusion

It's not like the drivers team didn't have samples months ago... If you're calling the current drivers early what would they have been if Fermi was released when it was originally planned, late 2009?

Or do you really need the very latest silicon for the drivers?
Notice any grammar or spelling mistakes? Feel free to correct me! Thanks

480gtx its like its a nice card, doing a bit better than 5870, then you see the temps and power usage! Holy Shi~! I would agree I would like to see overclocks and how this card is with fullcover water block. (420 rad maybe? )

Well Im somewhat surprised.... I sincerely thought I'd be upgrading my 4870x2 sooner but it has truley been an incredibly immpressive buy nearly what now almost 2 years has it been ? And it still outperforms Nvidias latest offering and hold its own even with ATI's latest But in all truth I really though Nvidia would been much much more impressive.. And while the Drivers are still in their infancy unless they see at least a 25% performance jump ( which frankly would be out of the this universe as 5-10% seems the norm) Ill be sticking with the ol 4870x2 for another year heck maybe 2.... Koodos to ATI.... and what the hell is going on team green? Disappointed and happy at the same time ( I'll be happy to put $6-700 somewhere else.......

please quit trolling. if you dont like a card you dont need to crash a thread. personally i dont like how evergreen handles texture sampling and its not much faster than my current hardware i cant see why anyone would buy it.

thanks, when it comes to sound quality is more important than quantity(decibels). the 470 and 480 are LOUD. almost as loud as all caps.

I really liked http://www.sweclockers.com/articles_...id=6236&page=6 sweclockers.com review with min and avg fps bars. Gtx 480 sure is better than atis card at the minimum fps bar, i was suprised about that the 5970 @xfire still has some problems. Dont know if it driver related or what but the min fps really sux there.. i actually vote for 480gtx right now cus of its ability of displaying more stable fps than the 58xxseries. oh yeah its in swedish, now its anandtech that is on the table for me.. but the site is gettin hammered hard

There is no way that I would be able to deal with that.

Of course they are early drivers. ATI still has driver issues with 5xxx series cards. It took a few months after release for drivers to be truly stable with my GTX260.

It's CrossFire, what did you expect? Multi-GPU sucks, that's about it.

Hardware Canucks has minimum framerates too. The 5970 beats the GTX480 in minimum and average framerates quite easily.
