HEXUS's priceing is way off, or at least EU prices are screwed up. 40% more than a 5870? What the hell? It's more like 20% from everything I see here.

GTX480 pulls as much as two 5870s, but when we compare performance 5970 is better. ATI's architecture is simply more efficient.

Drivers are beta or very immature. You must compare those results very carefully.

i haven't been following the fermi rumors too much since neither the gtx4xx or hd5000 series will be a worthwhile step up from my gtx260, but if this is true and this trend continues, I may be buying an ati card again. That hasn't happened since my 1900xtx.
    You must [not] advance.

even with all that dust, i'm sure that 5870 is cooler than the FERFAIL.

might want to wait until you see other games too, things are worse than what you get from Hexus review

Damn, you guys are filthy. I take my cases/computers outside at least twice a year and use a air duster to get rid of all the dust.

Possibility that the benches were pulled due to a last minute driver change by Nvidia? Rabbit out of the hat drivers, if you know what I mean.
As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"

LOL...twice a year. I have to clean mine out every month. Two dogs and a cat will literally leave a fur ball in my case if I don't clean it out.

I am sure they will gain more performance with newer drivers, but
power consumption at full load can not be fixed with software,undervolting/clocking aside.

Would be nice to still see the Folding at home (PPD) numbers.

LOL, yeah only twice a year and I live in West Texas, its like a dust storm here today and we use swamp coolers(evap.). My cases are all kept off the floor though, that makes a HUGE difference.

I'm not surprised considering you have a Noctua AV. Perhaps we should also buy a $300 Lian Li case and a nice $500 custom sleeved power supply and call it a day...

Ppl don't know the meaning of value anymore

I put low power consumption/heat output pretty high on my list of priorities when buying a card, is it just me 'cos i get the impression not many people care about that side too much? At least here anyway, to be expected on on a site like this

Sorry if this is going off topic, just curious
