Nutritious Rice for the World - 30 days left of new work
    Greetings all,

This is the official statement saying there is an estimated 30 days left of new work to be sent out. The project is expected to have an additional 3 weeks to clean up the remaining batches after that. The last batch of work units from the researchers are 00627 which has been built and loaded earlier today.

Thank you again for all your help with this project! Let me know if you have any questions.

Why did I bring this up with the known focus on cancer research here? Coz with only 30 days to go it's your last chance to get your badges AND by depleting all the work it will push everyone else onto the then smaller pool of available work which includes two specific cancer projects.
In simple terms: rice gone = moar coars on cancer

Be funny if that 30 days went in only a week somehow

While I fully understand and support others decision to focus on cancer, to me what causes human suffering does not matter. It is whatever causes it I want to try and help fight. If I had to choose one though it would be cancer.

    Anyway nice to see progress.

Yeah I got my ruby the other day and got close to the next but I let the others get some Wu's. Didn't know there was the much work left. I may just swap back over for a bit. o_-

Hmmm ... They said "30 days" in the original message ... I got one week and not a grain since (good thing I watch my caches closely) Must have burned through them faster than expected, eh?

Yip, there's no rice in my queue. Why did the project end? Are they out of work to send out? Out of feesible solutions?

Yep, run out of work. I think they had a limit set of targets and sims to run and we've just chewed through them is all.

OJ, when I posted originally the notice was a week old.

If you can still get an overview of your various caches in under 5 minutes you don't have enough machines

I checked my bills ... it's about $740AUD a quarter at current usage with the price here expected to jump by another 64% this year (ie expecting $1213 a quarter). I'm having to cut back just to break even.

I'm at about $300 per month for the rigs. So, with the power inefficient rigs I have, no, I ain't trading......

But that ain't want this thread is for......Already got the badge a long time ago..

where we as human beings should start tackling problems is at the bottom.
if we could find a solution for human hunger (there is one), then we take care and give hope to billions of people.
if we take care of such problems, other problems would become minor.

taking part in a DC project is really not about gaining recognition or adding badges, it is about clearing this world out of the mess it is with.
