    I Miss Rod *Tear*

Thought I`d put this here. It`s been a while since we`ve heard from the infamous Rodzilla.

Wouldn`t mind knowing how he`s doing

Good times they were XS seems never to have had a lack of prominent team leaders when it comes to crunching. Rod was the MM of his day

EDIT: I forgot, wouldn`t mind knowing how DDTUNG is doing. That man is pure awesomeness

Those are all names I haven't heard in a long time! Rodzilla was awesome...I remember him encouraging me to join the D2OL team several years ago. Doesn't feel like it's been that long...

EDIT: I just looked it up...it was way back at the end of 04 he got me started!

Having you guys post is reason enough to say mission accomplished

But yea, I have MMs sentiments with respect to DDT, he will def. be back...someday :S

Rod, on the other hand. Im assuming if we tell him that DPC is now doing WCG he will come running back in no time

Nice to see some people still remember the good old D˛OL-days
I'm installing solar panels at my new place in a few weeks, guess the electricity will come in handy to start crunching again... I've been away much to long

man.... good times... I wasn't around for D2ol but I start DC during the first DPC Stampede in Rosetta... I was also one of DDT's Infamous Cattle Prods when DC AMDs had JUST come out....

Rod was a great guy and a lotta fun. I only wish him the best and hope his life is well.

DDT Also, he was an amazingly nice guy, and put in an insane amount of work to push XS DC to new levels... Both will be missed as long as they are gone.

I'm guessing d2ol isn't the main XSDC focus at the moment looking at forum posts all dated years ago.
What are you guys on now? Still fighting DPC?

Got the machine in my sig running last night as well as my work box.
Not having much to do I might go around and see what computing power I can poach today, there's at least one q6600 machine not ding anything useful here.

Thanks Perkam, it's good to be back

I actually wonder about Rod on occasion. Granted, not for the same reason as the rest of you. Well, not all the time at least... lol

Right before he vanished I had found a CD on ebay, Guns n' Roses 'No Refrain'. I didn't have the ability to buy it and was begging someone else to buy it and hold on to it for me until I could. He bought it for me, we PM'd a couple times and he was just going to ship it before I came up with the funds for him. A week or two went by and I noticed he hadn't been on, tried contacting him, so I'm not 100% sure he ever even got the CD.
The CD has deep sentimental value, on it is an original release of 'November Rain'. A bit different than the 'Use your Illusion' CD. A good friend of mine loved that release of the song. R.I.P. ol' bud.

So yea.... lol anyone seen a copy? LoL

you do know this was released as part of a two CD set called Sessions?

and that although the track you want is on the No Refrain (CD1)
the second disc is called November Rain

and that also this is the set of demos from 1987?

cause my mate has the original set of recordings that include the tracks ‘Out Ta Get Me’ and ‘Move To The City’

i think you can still pick up the cd set of Sessions on local music stores, if it has a catalouge number, or you have a friend at one of these stores he can get the number and order it for you

no matter how old it is

I've seen the 'Sessions' before, but not the 'November Raid' one. And yea, the songs you listed were on the 'No Refrain' album.
No idea that it was a 2 disc set like 'Use Your Illusion' set.
Might have to do some checking and see if that's what I'm looking for.... Be cool as he** to get the full 'No Refrain' album again after all these years!
Thanks, I'll check it out some!
