Like Soulburner said if you want a program to organise photos and edit RAW images at the same time definetly get Lightroom. It's soo much more convenient than Photoshop, when browsing images and wanting to do just a slight change to it Lightroom is a lot faster. Amazing program! I highly recommend it for its workflow capabilites and excellent library features

I was thinking the same thing. Just for editing and fixing photos Elements is perfect. Easy to use, lots of material on the web for learning, cheaper etc. As for the HDR support, most people ues Photomatix ($99) anyhow (never tried Elements HDR function tho).
I was shooting a model this weeked and had to use Elements on a friends computer. Found it very easy to use! It did lack some RAW features tho, dont use those functions much anyways so...

I think you should try out all the diffrent programs for 30 days each and the decide. I havent tried lightroom so I have no idea if it's good or not.
    Loonym...You are missed.

    The element of one

    Breathe me in
    Breathe me in

I disbelieve in separation. I close my eyes to see you.
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
I, I disbelieve separation. I close my eyes
    there's no escaping me
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
In your heart in your soul. I perceive rejuvenation

Breathe me in. I am forever. Deep within I am eternal.

I will return to you. I am with you always. I will never turn away from you.

I use Photomatix with the Lightroom plug-in. It's handy - in LR I right click my Photo and Export to Photomatix. After my work is done there, the end result is saved and put back into LR for me to finish tweaking it. I don't always get great results, but its usually better than the original when working with a tricky exposure.

Wow, lots of options, less time in hand.

This way I'll check out software from bibblelabs.com too.

I tried LR2. At first, it was hard to find a way to add my photo library into the program. After playing, for a while I wish I had more time to test it. It seems nice. CS4 seems like a program to edit individual photo only. I like the way LR2 user interface regarding the way pictures are in line and be edited as group.

I used microsoft ice for panorama. I loved it as I could add in much more files compare to windows live photo gallery. And also better results than the win live phot gallery.

I wonder why there isn't a way to do panorama on raw files.

Because imagine having a dozen 20mb+ files, most computers would crawl in a corner and die
