    Thumbs up Intel X25-M SSDSA2MH080G2R5 80GB RETAIL $225

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-023-_-Product

Just dropped by $75. This can only mean Intel is slashing their prices.

We won't see anything new from them (25nm ONFI 3.0 MLC) until Q4, supposedly. Would you still buy one knowing new products are coming later in the year? They will likely be higher priced though.

Right now, it looks like to get something better you need to drop $480 on a 128GB RealSSD or $400 for a 100GB Vertex LE. The X25-M 80GB is in a sweet spot as a high performing dollar/GB SSD.

    Just came today.

    Box reads:
    SSDSA2MH080G2R5
    Pack Date: 12/17/09

The box says it was shipped from "RMA Warehouse" on the address label, but this is a still sealed, new retail box.

Won't get to use it for a bit, but am excited.
