So adding a second card at insane resolutions only gives about 50% more performance?

From the videos I have seen, 6 displays would look great...without the bezel right in the middle of your view. It seems display technology is going to be playing catch-up with Eyefinity-6 for some time to come.
yep... I am way more interested in how 2gb will improve performance at 5760x1080 (or 1200) than it how it drives 6 panels.. which is still impressive.. but the more I use my 1gb 5870 the more it feels memory starved on certain games..

sorry but the performance of 6 monitors on l4d is epic!

I'm assuming they made a typo on their PR slide... it says 1GB frame buffer. Fail!

Why does the one slide list the frame buffer as 1GB? That's not cool. Was the 6-monitor Xfire slide done with 1GB variants?

I'm sure we have like 3 threads about this card now...
And talking about 2GB of VRAM... I am sure the dramatic difference will only be noticeable in super high Eyefinity resolutions (and partially in 2560x1600 with lots of AA).
Are you sure??? Im a bit confused then...
NDA signed 22nd.... (Given 17th)..
This agreement will terminate on the following dates:
ATI HD5830 - 5:01am GMT / 6:01am CET 25th February 2010
ATI HD5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition - 5:01am GMT / 6:01am CET 11th March 2010
Atleast I havent received any newer statements from AMD/ATI/Firefly about NDA postponed, but honestly; Posted nothing today; today is Gulftown day... Maybe I should call AMD in the morning?

Aha, thanks. I hear rumours that DP has latency issues, is that correct?

i havent had a personal experience with the interface, but they used fairly long cables setting up a 6x4 display during eyefinity launch, so i guess latencies arent a problem at all.

Q. What Type of Display Interface is Best for High Performance Display Applications?
A. DisplayPort provides the fastest refresh rates, the deepest color depths and the highest fidelity with near zero latency. It is designed to work without resorting to lossy compression or artifact inducing encoding and to deliver every pixel to the screen as rendered by the PC with the highest accuracy and fastest response.
I have a question about this card.
I'm not much of a gamer, say that doesn't mean I'm not a gamer at all...
I have a 720p projector that i hook up to my PC for watching movies and such and was wondering in 2D mode if it would work with my other monitors in 1920x1200 mode.
I have 3 24" displays.
