Unhappy Gigabyte X58A-UD7 Ram Freaking out ..video included.

    Hello
i just got my 2nd X58A - UD7 and have a strange ram issue that doesnt occur on my other UD7 machine.

I have got 6GB of corsair XMS3 1600 mhz ram TR3X6G1600C9 kit in both the UD7's. My earlier machine is completely problem free while this new UD7 i just got is giving me a headache

My new Gigabyte X58A - UD7 Ram shows only 4 GB out of 6 GB installed.
Only way to get it to show the full 6GB is to unpulg the power supply from the mains for 10 seconds and then reboot. After this it will show me the full 6GB until i shut down the computer.
BUT now if i start my computer without doing a complete power down from from the mains then i will only get 4GB again !!!
Unplug the mains and power back up and my 6GB is back..

This behavior is 100 % repeatable as is shown in my video ..

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IPUV-SZfsE

All my ram has passed memtest and 15 runs on LinX with full ram usage so i know the ram is fine. Besides i checked the ram in my other Gigabyte UD7 system and it works great there too . No memtest or LinX Errors so its not my Ram.
And i took out the ram from my earlier ( 1st ) UD7 machine and it does the same thing here.
Have tried to re-seat the cpu 3 times already and also tried the stock intel heatsink thinking that maybe my noctua NH-12 is putting too much pressure on the chip/socket. No change at all

My question is RMA time ? or is there something else ?

Sorry for the long read and thank you guys tons in advance !
    Cheers and kind regards

    my system specs are :-
    Gigabyte X58A-UD7 Motherboard
    Intel Core i7 920
    6GB Corsair Dominator 1600 CL8
    Corsair TX 750 Psu
    WD Velociraptor 300
    WD 1TB Black x3
    Nvidia GTS 250

    Try
    1.Update your BIOS
    2. Reseat your CPU

Done both already sir.. Reseated 3 times already and strangely this behaviour is 100 % re-creatable.
Take for example i just power on the wall mains ,then the psu and then the computer . Now i see all 6GB.
If i Shut down windows vista x64 or win 7 x64 and now restart the computer without doing a complete power down cycle from the mains and 100 % i will see only 4 GB now..
Shut down.. Cycle power from the mains and bingo 6GB is back up again..
Please do watch the video if possible you guys might spot something i have missed.
    thanks again everyone !
    Cheers and kind regards

Your video shows F4 for your BIOS, latest available was F6A.

Regarding the Win 7 thing, when I tightened my timings and set the Performance enhance thing to extreme I get Windows only seeing 4 GB instead of 6 GB from time to time.

Nice catch on the F4 bios sir
I did update my bios to F6A as well after i made the video and its still got the same behavior.
I have tried with performance enhance at standard and turbo but not extreme and no difference either !
Also my 1st ud7 machine is still on f4 with the same ram and no isues like this on that machine..
Thanks again sir for all the help.. hope this board is not busted !!
    cheers and kind regards

Sounds like your CPU has a weak memory controller. Try bumping the voltage to the memory controller.

Man, im having the same exact problem over here. Ive tried all these things and still no matter what I do, it only picks up 4 gigs.

Ive noticed that using only a single stick of ram I can boot up in every slot except for DDR3_1.

Did you go ahead and RMA it yet because im getting ready too.

A single stick should boot in ANY white slot, so if you have issues with any single slot then you likely have a bent pin or need to remount your CPU.

The only time I get that is when I push my ram too far and only two of the sticks can handle that speed
