Thank you. I've been waiting 5 years for someone to make an overclockable dual socket motherboard and EVGA was the one to have the balls and determination to try.
Then the timing, these 45nm and the upcoming 32nm chips are just plain excellent. My guess is that it will take someone with more skills than I have to get the most from it but I'll give it my best.

Why not a pair of Corsair 650/750/850/950TX's? $160/per for the 950TX's, $140/per for the 850TX's, $100/per for the 650TX's. Either way, should be about as much or less than as a single 1-1.2kW unit.

WOW, that is a thing of beauty.

Seems like that will be really hard to insulate for sub-z though. A very crowded socket....guess its needed though for a dual CPU overclocking board.

    Hey MM nice rack.....lol

i thought that one of the main features of the board was that it will work with 2 i7s in it. i know they wont be able to talk to each other over QPI, but that EVGA had a chip in it that would talk to both and let them work as 1.
Its not overkill if it works.

My personal opinion is that it will croak all the wPrime times, and with the proper vid cards well, lets say that massman will be busy changing the standings!

I wasn't and without embarrassing myself that's the easiest way to say it.

If it will then you know something I don't.
I'm not a big gambler but I'll bet ya $20.00 right here and now that 2- Bloomfield I7's won't work in it.
    Want to take that bet?

If I lived in the US I would come over for sure, too bad I'm on the other side of the pond. I'm sure I have enough RAM to get this thing up and running.

I don't think it's technically possible, the chips need two QPIs, so you'll have to buy two Xeons for this board.

Unfortunately no, but turn off HT and run 12 threads should do the trick..
