Thank GOD on the card.. That was bothering me.
    Also made a change:
Looking better Dave....try 7-7-7-20-59 1T...should be a piece of cake (maybe a slight bump in VTT to get there though)

6-6-6-18-44 1T should be doable...but you'll need to start pumping in the VTT and DRAM voltage for that

Sure, you do a ninja edit after I log off and go lock the thing tighter than a bulls arse at fly time!
There's a lot more settings there than the ones you mentioned:
    settings: Default values
    TCL:9
    TRAS:24
    TRP:9
    TRCD:9
    TWR:10
    TRFC:74
    TWTR:5
    TRRD:5
    TRTP:5
    TFAW:20
    Back to back CAS delay:0
    Memory Low gap: Auto

I did the CAS7-7-7-20-59 you suggested, left the others alone and POOF, no post, had to clear CMOS to get back running..

Can you try 7-9-7-23, or raise tRCD in general when you try to clock the memory?

Playing with MEM-settings will affect the VVT-requirements on the locked Uncore of these VVT-hungry chips.

I've been playing with x6 RAM-multiplier, DDR3 ~@1066MHz CL5, and could log into w7 with ~5BCLK higher than x8 RAM. I haven't had time to test the stability on the new setup yet, but lower RAM-multi seams to run stable with less VVT.

I was, and was quite excited about it too.

Ended up cancelling after the first month. The lack of polish on the game is simply astonishing.

I second this motion, Dave. 7-7-7-20 is too tight, even for that setup. Try the above or even 7-9-7-24+

I'm wondering if ECC RAM can have a big impact on the stability.

Anybody have tried ECC RAM with X56xx yet?

Sounds really good I've ended up with BCLK174 at VVT=1.32v too for now, but i really miss those x25 multi you got there .

Lets hope you end up with 4 x GTX 480 in "those empty barren PCI-e slots", then we are looking at several WR, easily.

Just ran a cooler comparison between TR extreme and WC setup using WCG.

    i7 920 @ 4ghz w/1.35v
    22C ambient

    TR extreme | 2x 113cfm fans:
    73C

    Apogee XT | Ek FBWB | 2x Thermochill PA120.4 | 8x Scythe 130cfm fans @ 7V | Ek Dual Pump Top | 2x MCP655
    50C

JEEZE! I can't wait to get those Xeons in my hand and see what I can really do for WCG Hoping for 4.75ghz 24/7
