Dave, it's a wonderful irony yet terribly sad all at the same time. It's great to see you putting this monster to work for cancer research. I'm sure Jon would approve.

Good job This setup looks really promising and I'm looking forward for the release date of this MB.

What kind of Umcore and VVT are you using now?

Some tests on MEM, L1, L2, L3 and Uncore would be really interesting to see. After all this the first time we see this kind of DP-beasts to communicate across a OCed link.

Great to see that you got it up and running Dave

Shame that one of the 5970's would not play nice and no Vantage numbers but hey! I'm an XP man

As for your sentiments, well, very eloquently put sir and as one other has already stated the first 100,000+ ppd cruncher dedicated to Jon is poignantly appropriate.

Good luck with your monster machine

WC is in the plan but didn't have time to do it and all the rest in one weekend
besides, even though I have two blocks here I want to use a particular one for reasons of my own.

108 WCG PPD! wow nice Thats almost what I average with 6 machines!! A dual E5520 and two OC'd i7's and 2 q6600's and a c2d which is 38 threads and alot more power usage!

*edit: just read your full post (was too excited to see the pics and data at first) makes me proud to own hardware from some of the companies listed MM and EVGA that helped support this build.

Thats some crazzzi ventilation you got there Dave! Very nice build and numbers so far. I saw the same Vantage issue about scanning before, I think after I installed the patch. I installed the chipset drivers and that seemed to work. But then some time later on another rig I saw the same error, and here just reopening Vantage or rebooting seemed to fix it.
