I have seriously though about transplanting the barrel fan out of a gas heater into a system case more than once.

Well being mains powered it puts no load on the PSU or motherboard, they move a MAL of air, AND if you do it right they run pretty damn quiet ... mounting might be tricky though.

The 560+cfm coming in the front across the board should handle that..
Plus the wash from the 4 Deltas on the HS should handle things at the speeds I'll be at..

If Movieman got the Extended Ascension (I it as an Ascension, but I can not tell if it is Extended) he could mount one (or rather place) on each side for a push pull configuration.

You may want to go for 120x38mm fans. Should be quieter for the same amount of air moved. I while ago I went through and looked at all of the 120mm Delta fan manufacturer data, and what it made clear was that thicker is better.

It's not the size of the wave, it's the motion of the ocean.

Though then again, bigger waves are more fun.

And right now, Dave is cresting tsunami.

Ran into a little glitch at 2am, had to mount HS "sideways", then slept like the dead and last night here and now huge rain storm..
BUT the good news is the sleep gave me a solution that will get it the way I want it. Should fire it up in a few hours after I suck down some coffee and get human.

So Dave how much would shipping that entire thing to Rhode Island cost? If I had a car, I'd have made a roadtrip out of visiting you this weekend. It'd only take an hour and a half each direction.
