DOF? Is that a setting only for DX11 cards because I can't seem to find anything neither ingame or in the cfg file for it.

i dont remember dof being that demanding on hw... and its a very easy to implement feature as an after effect using the z values once the frame is already rendered... so its weird that it only works on dx11 hardware... hmmm ill pm triniwboy

    I have DOF with dx10...

It's 'Advanced' dof on dx11. I don't know the difference though.

    Advanced DoF uses compute shaders.

I haven't played the game itself but there isn't any difference I can see in the screenshots posted so far. Dirt2, AvP, Stalker and Metro all fail the tessellation test IMO.

yeah, the tesselation in those games is almost as bad as physix in most twimtbp games...
barely improves the gameplay if at all, and hurts perf a lot :/

Oh the dreams about high margin difference between dual and quad cores.
Looking back to what the developer bragged about and what it finally delivered....
Before you complain about lag, think about Jesus. He lagged three days before respawning.

the game seems to favour ati hardware, despite being a TWIMTBP title..

curious to see how GF100 performs here...

so it doesnt scale well with multiple cpu cores?
they claimed it would scale with more than 4 cores, didnt they even claim it would use all cpu cores available, ie more than 8 threads?

Somebody already showed that with 2 or 4 cores framerates are practically unchanged. I don't recall which forums it was on....

    hey guys,

dunno if this has been asked before but, I'm deciding whether to buy or not this game.

Problem is that i only have one GTX280 @700mhz core/1400 shaders and 2400 mem.

Will this be enough to play at 1680x1050 dx10 with max settings (no AA) on decent framerates?

Anyone here with a gtx280/285 who tried the game?

    thanks in advance,

    .::NeO::.

EDIT: ops, thanks Olivon, I had not seen your post

damn, gtx285 sucks big time in this game
