    Suggestion: Appraisal section

    Ive been a long time reader and poster here on XS, and i've just recently started going to Overclock.net..

    I really like the fact that they have their appraisal section, but some of us who may need to sell stuff cant access it due to a restriction in rep at OCN.

    Maybe we could have our own version here at XS? with the 100post minimum like the for sale section, but have it subdivided.

    ->For Sale/Wanted
    -----> For Sale
    ----------> Individual for sale sections.
    -----> Appraisals
    -----> Wanted

    (had to use "-" to denote a sub category.

    I think it would be beneficial for long time readers here, who dont all have massive rep and posts over at OCN too.

    just a suggestion

    Yeah that is something I like about overclock.net. I am not a big seller so usually selling something on a site isn't very beneficial to me when can sell it locally here for the same price, but I do like to know how much I should sell something.

    I'm not sure that we see more than about 0.5 threads/week asking people to appraise their goods between General Hardware and Tech Talk right now (the two places I tend to see these come up in), do you suppose we would actually see a meaningful increase if people were able to post in a dedicated section to appraisals versus letting people do it where they like as we do now? I don't need to get much appraised, let alone at other sites (I tend to donate hardware when I'm done with it)... what's the activity look like elsewhere?

    Dual CCIE (Route\Switch and Security) at your disposal. Have a Cisco-related or other network question? My PM box is always open.

    Well what im assuming is that alot of people are going to OCN in order to appraise stuff, but the stuff thats left over here is the XS die-hards that dont use OCN or just browse..

    Ill look after the appraisal section if i have to in order to get it up and running!
