    Nice, I wonder if this will bring AMD's raid0 performance numbers close to that of the ICH10R with SSDs. Would give AMD users some much needed love

    That AT review was depressing to read, absolutely nothing new worth mentioning in the NB, it's still 55 nm.
    I thought it would be a dumb shrink, but it's not even that, it's more like a relabeled 790GX.

    This can be clue of why the GX shows up before FX tho, the GX is pretty much the same thing.
    The FX on the other hand is more likely to get a shrink from todays 65 nm, and that could of course delay the launch.

    Like I said in another thread, that Gigabyte 890FX board looks almost identical to the GA-790FXTA-UD5 and they added a onboard LED and another 16x PCI-E along with better heatsinks. But still, at least it has nice features compared to other 890FX boards I've seen, as usual Gigabyte always impresses me with their boards.

    I think you need a dual socket board if you want to use it as a HTPC.
