Variable Voltage Control for Iwaki RD30
Hi,
I have an Iwaki RD30 pump.
I purchased a 12 to 24 Volt DC mod system from Performance PC's. The fully mod'ed setup is shown at the bottom of the page at this URL:
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=26144
As far as I can tell, there is no sort is variability control with the fully mod'ed setup - it just has one setting (24 V). I'd line to control the input voltage to have the system run at ~ 18 volts. I was thinking of using a fan control / rheometer to do this. The fan controller that I have is this (Lamptron Fan Controller, FC2)

This unit can handle up to 45 watts, so, it should be able to handle the Iwaki. I'd like to control the input going into the voltage mod for the pump, setting it lower, so that my output will be around 18V.
Has anybody used such a setup to control an Iwaki pump? Any other suggestions?
Thanks,

most of us just use a meanwell 24v psu and use its built in voltage adjustment pot.
fan controllers dont have the ability to handle the amount of current that a pump requires.

That unit @ P-PCs is variable.

The mod pictured in the center - at the bottom of the ad from Performance PC does not have variable voltage control. All it has is an on/off switch. I have the unit here.

open the box. you should have the small inverter pictured on the left.
there is a small gold screw in the blue variable resistor. thats how you regulate the voltage.

All it is is this in an enclosure.

Thanks Waterlogged!
I'll give this a shot.
This should work for awhile - I'll probably be moving to a meanwell too.
