I just finished installing my Corsair H50. It sounds like it's working, however, it's making some weird smell. It's not a new electronics smell, almost like a plastic burning kinda.
Is this the pump breaking in, or is it burnt out?

Does it feel hot to the touch is the first question.

Mine also does that, but it is apparently working as intended.
Burning smell? Never a good sign. Has it gone away? Sometimes a new motherboard will give off a vague electronic smell when it heats up for the first time, but it should not give off a "burnt" smell. If it is a strong smell of burning, then it may be a sign the mobo is bad, or has gone bad. Or a sign the your PSU is going bad. Make sure everything is working properly on the computer, and check your temps. Levels OK? If yes, then check your PSU with a voltmeter, make sure not giving too much juice. Next look for scorch marks. Also do you have more than one fan connected together? That can overload a fan controller, if you are not careful. But if no problems, and the smell goes away after a day, then don't worry about it, it was just a "new build smell", I guess.
