Dude, did you even bother to look at the "specs" of that cutting edge computer? Here are a few tidbits of that "cutting edge" computer:
MSI G31TM-P21 Motherboard
Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 Processor
Ultra LS500 Lifetime Series 500W Power Supply
XFX GeForce 9800 GT 512MB PCIe w/Dual Link DVI Video Card
Corsair Value Select (2GB) 2048MB PC5400 DDR2 Desktop Memory
(The above taken from both nVidia's specs and CompUSA/TigerDirect's specs for this "ultimate" system.)
What a laugh! Cutting edge my butt! Those bits are just entry level.....enough for my mother, maybe, but cutting edge? LOL!
And love the "high quality" power supply being jammed into that cheapie CoolerMaster 334 case....a case that typically sells for under $35 at MicroCenter/Fry's.
Thanks for the base

the annoucnment is the Geforce LAN folks. Nvidia used to have GforceLANS for card launches but they have not done that in a couple years. The timing of the release and PAX East led them to use that venue.

nowhere on that page does it say "Fermi" or "480 / 470" , so the "highly-anticipated, next-generation GPU" may as well be new die-shrink G92
